The Domus AVIGNON 2LT is a traditional exterior post light with two lantern heads on a 1.4 metre post, in die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses, IP43, taking two B22 lamps, in beige, black, burgundy, green or white.
Domus builds this fitting to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not picked off a shelf.
⛔ Two lamp holders, and no wattage figure of any kind.
No source states a per-lamp maximum, and none states a total for the two together. ⚠ On a twin-head fitting that gap doubles: a customer sizing a circuit or choosing globes has neither number.
✅ Use LED B22 globes and the question largely goes away — two 9–11 W LEDs draw around 20 W between them and run cool inside sealed acrylic lenses. ⛔ If you intend incandescent or halogen, ask us first and we will get both figures from Domus.
⚠ And fit two identical globes. Two heads at 640 mm apart on one post are seen together; a colour or output mismatch between them is obvious in a way it would not be between two separate posts.
✅ The same head is made as a wall bracket, a pillar mount, a post top, a pendant, and single, twin or triple head on posts.
A twin at the gate, singles along the path, and a wall bracket at the door is one scheme in three mountings. ⚠ No page in the catalogue says the others exist. Tell us the positions and we will quote the set.
Its sheet reads "Requires: Lamp GT-271 Wall Bracket". ⛔ A post light does not need a wall bracket — the line names another configuration in the same family. What this needs is a footing and two B22 lamps.
AVIGNON traditional exterior post light, twin head on a 1.4 m post. Overall height 1,410 mm; 640 mm across the two lanterns. Die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses; made in Italy, assembled and powder coated in Australia. 2 × B22 bayonet lamp holders — lamps not included. ⛔ No per-lamp or total maximum wattage is recorded in any source — ask us before buying globes. 220–240 V AC. IP43 — sheltered positions, not driven rain or hosing. Beige, black, burgundy, green or white. ⚠ Warranty 1 year.
⛔ No footing specification or wind rating is recorded, and a twin head puts an off-centre load on the base. Ask us before anything is dug. ✅ Twin heads are also available at 2.05 m and 2.4 m, and a triple at 2.4 m.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Not recorded — and on a twin head that gap doubles, because no source states a per-lamp maximum or a total for the two together. A customer sizing a circuit or choosing globes has neither figure. Using LED B22 globes largely removes the question: two 9–11 W LEDs draw around 20 W between them and run cool inside sealed lenses. If you intend incandescent or halogen, ask us first and we will get both figures from Domus.
Because two lanterns on one post read as an entrance, where one reads as a path light. That is why twins belong at a gate, a driveway entry or a front step rather than along a run — and a pair of them flanking an entrance is the classic arrangement. At 640 mm across it also lights a wider area than a single head at the same height.
For an arrival marker, yes; to walk beneath, no. At 1.4 m the lanterns sit at roughly chest height, which suits a gate or a front step where the fitting marks the point of arrival — and it does not block sightlines from a car. If you want a twin you pass beneath, the 2.05 m and 2.4 m versions are the ones.
640 mm across the two lanterns, against 215 mm for the single-head posts — and that width is the only recorded field distinguishing a twin from a single. Beside a driveway allow for car doors and wing mirrors; beside a path allow for anyone carrying something. The footing also carries an off-centre load when wind loads one side, and no footing figure is recorded, so ask us before anything is dug.
Two LED B22 at 9–11 W, 2700 to 3000 K, and opal rather than clear filament — at chest height on a twin the lamps are close to eye level for anyone arriving on foot. Warm light at an entrance reads as welcome; cooler light reads as security, which is rarely what you want at a front gate. Fit two identical globes, and replace both together when one fails: at 640 mm apart they are seen at once and a mismatch shows.
It depends how sheltered the position is. IP43 covers spray falling at up to 60° from vertical, not driven rain and not hosing. There is also twice the maintenance here — two moulded acrylic lenses rather than one, and acrylic can craze under years of full sun, which is most visible at an entrance. Tell us the exposure and we will say whether it suits.
Yes — the same lantern head is made in seven configurations. A twin at the gate, single heads along the path and a wall bracket at the front door is one scheme in three mountings rather than three near-matches. No page in the catalogue says the others exist, so tell us the positions and we will quote the set.
