The Arvin 40 is a 400 mm LED vanity light — 8 W for 519 lm, with three switchable colour temperatures and an IP44 rating, in antique gold, black or chrome.

Very slim, at 25 mm high

This is the distinguishing feature. At 25 mm high and 0.9 kg the Arvin is a thin bar rather than a housing — above a mirror it reads as a line of light rather than a fitting. The comparable Gilson 40 is 60 mm high.

Softer than the Gilson — deliberately

Worth comparing directly, because both are 8 W 400 mm vanity lights: the Arvin gives 519 lm, the Gilson 819 lm. The Arvin is the gentler of the two. Choose it for an ensuite or powder room where soft even light suits; choose the Gilson where you actually need to see clearly to shave or apply makeup.

Three colour temperatures, chosen on site

3000 K, 4000 K or 5000 K, set at installation — so you can try it lit rather than picking from a catalogue.

CRI above 83

Colour accuracy is the job of a vanity light, and >83 keeps skin tones truthful rather than sallow.

IP44, so it belongs near water

Rated against splashing from any direction. Your electrician will confirm the zone above the basin.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

Your Options

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
  • Credit: will be issued in the form of store credit and will be equal to the price paid.
