Product Description
xThe Amparo is a 1,600 mm two-light floor lamp in satin black, built around floating ø280 mm discs in a 1950s idiom.
The discs are the design
Two flat discs offset on a slim stem — no shades, no glass. The light washes off the underside of each disc rather than shining at you, which is why a 12 W lamp works in a living room: it is indirect, not dim.
1,600 mm is tall
That is above standing eye height, so the upper disc sits over a seated person's head and the lamp reads as architecture rather than furniture. It needs the ceiling height — in a low room it will crowd.
G9 globes, and they decide the dimming
Two G9 globes, 12 W total, not supplied. The lamp has no driver of its own, so dimming is globe dependent: dimmable G9 LEDs on a compatible dimmer will dim, standard ones will not. G9 is a small bi-pin capsule — check what you are buying, they are not interchangeable with anything else.
No earth needed
Class II — double insulated. It plugs into a normal socket; there is nothing to install.

- Living rooms with the ceiling height for a 1.6 m lamp.
- Beside a sofa, as indirect ambient light.
- Offices and studies, where glare matters.
- Mid-century and contemporary interiors.

Questions
Is 12 W bright enough?
For ambient light, yes. The light washes off the underside of the discs rather than shining at you, so it reads as soft rather than dim. It is not a reading lamp.
Is it dimmable?
That depends on the globes. Dimmable G9 LEDs on a compatible dimmer will dim; standard ones will not.
Are globes included?
No. Two G9 capsules, 12 W total, supplied separately.
How tall is it?
1,600 mm — above standing eye height, so it needs the ceiling height to suit.
Does it need an electrician?
No. It is double insulated and plugs into a normal socket.
Are there other finishes?
No. Satin black is the only version stocked.
What is the warranty?
Three years.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
