Aluminum Post 76mm Powder Coated Finish

The Domus 76 mm aluminium post is the post the BL-series bollard heads mount on — 1 m, 1.5 m or 2 m, powder coated in beige, black, silver, green or white.

What this is for, and what else you need

This is a component, not a light. On its own it does nothing. A complete bollard is three or four parts:

• A bollard head — the BL-100 three-tier, the BL-300 conical, or another 76 mm head.
• This post — in the length and colour you want.
• A base — the BB-100 suits 60–76 mm posts, for fixing to a hard surface.
• An E27 globe — the heads do not include one.

✅ Or skip the assembly: the BL-100-1M-KIT is the three-tier head supplied with a 1 metre post. This post exists for the heights that kit does not offer, and for matching an existing installation.

Choosing a length — it changes the job the light does

• 1 metre — the standard. Waist height, so the source sits below eye level and the pool of light is wide enough to be useful. Right for paths, garden beds and driveway edges.
• 1.5 metres — a wider pool and a longer throw, and it reads more like a lamp post than a marker. Good on a wide driveway or a long approach; ⚠ at this height the head is closer to eye level, so it matters more that the head shields its globe.
• 2 metres — a genuine post light. The widest coverage and the fewest fittings, and it lights the space rather than the ground. ⚠ Wind load and footing both matter more at this height — talk to your electrician about the base.

⚠ Buy one length for a run. Mixed heights along a single path read as a mistake.

The finish, and the reality of aluminium outdoors

Powder-coated aluminium in five colours, and the sensible move is to match the head — the same five finishes run across the BL range.

• Black disappears into planting at night and is the safest choice.
• Beige and white stay visible by day, which suits a formal entry.
• Green is the one that vanishes into a hedge.
• Silver reads as contemporary but shows marks.

⚠ On a coastal site, ask us. Powder-coated aluminium is a reasonable choice near salt — it will not rust the way steel does — but the coating is what protects it, and salt attacks coating edges and fixings first. Keep the cut end sealed and wash it down.
