Akril is sold here as a complete 5-pack kit, and that is the whole reason to choose it: five black aluminium spike lights, an LED driver and a WiFi and IR receiver arrive in one box, matched to each other. Buying colour-changing garden lighting piece by piece means specifying the driver, the controller and the fittings so they agree; the kit removes that problem. Each of the five is a 3 W RGBCW built-in LED, so the garden can hold a clean white wash most nights and switch to full colour when you want it.

The choice to make: a matched kit, five fittings at a time

The kit is the efficient way to light a small-to-medium garden in one go — five spikes will handle a front bed, a driveway border or a run of feature planting. Where it stops being the right answer is scale: if you need eight or twelve fittings, work out whether one kit plus extras or two kits gives the better driver and controller arrangement before ordering, because the supplied driver is sized for the five it comes with. Control is through the TUYA app over WiFi, or the IR remote if you would rather not involve a phone.

Specifying it

The fittings run on 24 V DC and the supplied driver takes 240 V mains input, so the low-voltage supply the fittings need is included — there is no separate 24 V DC driver to source. Because the fittings are low voltage, they connect to the supplied driver, never to a mains circuit directly.

The LED is built in on all five spikes: no globe is needed and none can be fitted, so there is no lamp base to match and nothing to buy alongside the kit. Rated IP65, which covers direct rain, sprinkler spray and the ground moisture a spike sits in. Output is 5 × 195 lm to 5 × 205 lm across the white range, with full RGBCW colour alongside. Aluminium body, black powder-coated, with a high-grade acrylic lens on a 155 mm spike. Installation by a licensed electrician.
