A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
These are LED signage modules - individual light units on a linked cable, rather than a continuous strip. They are made for lighting the inside of illuminated signage, letters and light boxes, where the light has to be spread evenly behind a face panel.
Because each module is separate, they can be spaced to suit the shape being lit instead of following a single straight line.
Spacing is the whole craft of it. Modules set too far apart show as bright spots through the face of a sign; set too close, they cost more than the job needs and add heat inside a sealed box. The depth between the modules and the face panel matters just as much - the further back they sit, the more the light spreads and evens out before it reaches the surface.
Because they are chained, a run is built to the length the sign needs rather than cut from a fixed reel, and a single feed can supply the whole chain.
It is a Selectable white product - a colour temperature chosen at installation - 3000K, 4000K.
Colour rendering is 90+ CRI, which describes how faithfully colours appear under the light. It matters most where the lighting falls on food, skin, timber or fabric.
The beam spread is 60°.
This strip is rated IP44. Check that against where it is going before ordering.
Strip is cut to length at the marked cutting points only. Cutting between them severs the circuit and kills everything past the cut, so plan the run to the nearest marked point rather than to the exact millimetre.
Test the run before committing it. Adhesive backing does not survive being lifted and re-laid, and a fault found after the diffuser is on means taking the run apart.
This is part of the Havit Commercial range, which is priced on application rather than listed. Use the enquiry button on this page and we will come back with pricing for the quantity you need.
Components like this are ordered against a specific installation, so it is worth confirming the parent product and the quantity together. Send us the part number you are matching and we will confirm what suits it.
⚠ Confirm availability before a specification is issued. Commercial ranges change, and a product written into a drawing that is no longer stocked is a change order later, when it is far more expensive to fix.
Yes, but only at the marked cutting points. Cutting between them kills the section past the cut.
For the mains connection to the driver, yes. That is licensed electrical work in Australia.
