The 601 is a ø90 mm downlight frame — frame only, into a 70 mm cut-out, in nickel or white. It contains no light source.
There is no LED in this product. It is the trim and housing; the light comes from a module bought separately. Tell us what you are lighting and we will match one — wattage, colour temperature and beam angle are decided by that choice, not by this frame. (Our record lists “12 W” against it, which is meaningless on an empty frame.)
Downlight trims are almost universally white, because they are meant to disappear into the ceiling. The 601 also comes in nickel — and that is a deliberate choice: against a dark, timber-lined or coloured ceiling, a white trim is a row of bright dots, while a nickel one reads as a considered detail. Worth knowing if your ceiling is not white.
ø90 mm trim into a 70 mm hole, only 25 mm deep. Note that 70 mm is not the common 90 mm Australian cut-out, so this is for a new install or a smaller, more discreet result — not a drop-in replacement for existing downlights.
That matters more than it sounds. In a ceiling with limited void — a bulkhead, a concrete slab with a shallow batten, a rendered soffit — a 25 mm frame fits where a standard downlight housing will not. Combined with an appropriate module, it is often the answer when depth is the problem.
Two real advantages. You choose the module, and can change it later for a different wattage or colour without touching the ceiling. And when a module fails, you replace the module, not the fitting — rather than cutting an integrated downlight out of the plasterboard.
IP44 means splash protection, so it can go in a bathroom or laundry. IC-4 means insulation may be laid directly over it with no clearance gap. Both apply to the frame — confirm the module carries them too. Aluminium body.
Warranty is one year. Our datasheet says five and the record says one. We publish the shorter and will confirm with Telbix on request — the same fivefold difference appears on every downlight frame in this range, so it is worth settling once.
ø90 mm trim, 70 mm cut-out, 25 mm deep, in aluminium, nickel or white. No LED module included — sold separately. IP44 — bathrooms YES, IC-4 — insulation may cover it. Installation by a licensed electrician. Warranty published as one year — the sheet says five; ask us.

Only 25 mm — which fits where a standard downlight housing will not, in a bulkhead, a shallow batten or a rendered soffit.
The frame is IP44 and IC-4, so yes to both — but confirm the module you pair with it carries the same ratings.
