Product Description
xThe Duro is a very small recessed downlight — ø60 mm and only 31 mm deep, with a built-in 3 W LED. It is a detail light rather than a room light.
This is an INDOOR fitting. It is rated IP20, which offers no water protection at all. Our product record tags it as outdoor; that is not consistent with an IP20 rating, and we would rather you kept it indoors. For an eave or a bathroom, use an IP44-rated downlight such as the Elon or the Macro.
31 mm deep fits where nothing else does
Most downlights need 60–70 mm of ceiling void. At 31 mm the Duro fits into a bulkhead, a shallow soffit, a stair riser or the underside of a cabinet where a standard fitting simply will not go. That depth is the reason to specify it.
A 40° beam is tight
240 lm on a 40° beam gives a defined pool, not general light. Use them close together for a run of small marks — along a hallway bulkhead, under a stair nosing, into a display niche. Spaced like normal downlights they will leave dark gaps.
Colour is fixed by order code
DURO 3R-BK83 is 3000 K warm white; 3R-BK85 is
5000 K cool white. Not switchable — decide before ordering.
Where it works
- Bulkheads and shallow soffits with limited void depth.
- Stair risers and nosings, as low-level guidance.
- Display niches, shelving and cabinetry.
- Anywhere a standard 60 mm-deep downlight will not fit.

Questions
Can I use it outdoors or under an eave?
No. It is IP20 with no water protection. Our record tags it as outdoor, which is not consistent with that rating — for an eave or bathroom use an IP44 downlight such as the Elon or Macro.
How deep does the ceiling need to be?
Only 31 mm — about half what a standard downlight needs. That is the reason to choose it.
How bright is it?
240 lm on a tight 40° beam — a defined pool, not general room light.
Can I change the colour temperature?
No. It is fixed by order code: -BK83 is 3000 K, -BK85 is 5000 K.
How far apart should they go?
Closer than normal downlights. On a 40° beam, spacing them like standard downlights leaves dark gaps.
Is there a globe to replace?
No. The LED is built in.
What is the warranty?
Our sources disagree — two years in our record, three on the supplier sheet. Ask us and we will confirm.

xWarranties
For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
