x35mm x 37mm White Deep
This is a wide aluminium profile, made for broad or high-output LED strip. The extra width buys two things - room for a bigger strip, and more aluminium to carry heat away from it.
Why strip lighting belongs in a profile
Width is mostly about heat. A wide extrusion has more aluminium in contact with the strip and more surface to shed what it collects, which is what lets a high-output run hold its brightness instead of fading unevenly over a few years.
It also gives the diffuser somewhere to sit. Depth between the strip and the cover is what blends separate LEDs into an even line, and a wide profile usually has more of it - which is why a bright strip in a generous channel looks smoother than the same strip in a shallow one.
The trade is presence. A wide profile is visible as an object, so it wants to be either deliberately expressed or properly recessed - not half-hidden.
Choosing and installing it
This channel takes LED strip up to 30mm (w) x 4mm (h). ⚠ Check your strip against that before ordering - strip that is too wide will not seat, and the profile is the part that has to accommodate the strip rather than the other way round.
Cut it with a mitre saw and a fine-tooth blade, and support the length properly while you do - a wide extrusion is heavy enough to move under its own weight and finish the cut out of square.
Leave yourself a way to get power in. The cable has to enter somewhere, and a run that has been fixed, diffused and capped with no thought given to where the driver sits is a run that has to come apart again.
Diffusers and end caps to suit are listed separately, so the finish can be chosen to match the room rather than being fixed by the channel.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a profile for LED strip?
Strip will run without one, but it will run hotter and show every individual LED. A profile draws heat away and, with a diffuser, turns the run into a continuous line.
Does it come with the strip or a driver?
No. The profile is the channel only. The LED strip and the driver that powers it are separate.
What size strip fits?
Up to 30mm (w) x 4mm (h). Check your strip against that before ordering.
Can I cut it to length?
Yes. Profiles are cut on site with a mitre saw and a fine-tooth blade. Plan where the joins fall before cutting.
Are the diffuser and end caps included?
They are listed separately, which lets the finish be chosen to suit the room. Check what your run needs before ordering.
Can it go outside?
No. At IP20 it is for indoor, dry locations only.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
