The Monte WB3 is a 390 mm three-light wall fitting in brass with frosted glass leaf forms — three E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied.

Leaf forms in frosted glass on a brass frame

The Monte's shape is drawn from natural leaf formations — three frosted glass elements set on a refined brass frame, each with a globe behind it. Frosted rather than clear matters here: it means each leaf glows as a whole surface rather than showing a bright point through it, so what you see from across the room is three lit shapes, not three globes.

Three E14 globes — 25 W each, 75 W in total

Our specification table stated this correctly as 3 × 25 W, which is worth saying because several fittings in this range state the total as though it were the per-globe figure. E14 is the small screw base — a candle or golf-ball globe — and none are supplied.

Dimming depends on the globe, not on the fitting. Our record says “No”; the datasheet says globe dependent, and the datasheet is right — there is nothing in a fitting that simply holds three E14 globes to prevent dimming. Fit dimmable E14 LEDs and use a wall dimmer and it will dim. Fit ordinary ones and it will not. Ask us and we will match globes to your dimmer — three globes on one dimmer is exactly where mismatched LEDs flicker.

390 by 420 mm, projecting 170 mm

This is a substantial wall fitting — almost as tall as it is wide, at 2 kg on a 110 mm canopy. The 170 mm projection means it reads as a sculptural object on the wall rather than a flat panel, and equally that it is not a hallway fitting: 170 mm into a circulation route is an obstruction. Give it a wall you look at, and use a proper fixing rather than a plasterboard plug.

Part of a range that scales a very long way

The Monte also comes as an 8, 12 and 16-light pendant. So the same leaf-and-brass language runs from this three-light wall fitting to a sixteen-light chandelier — which makes it genuinely useful for tying a hallway, a stair and a dining room together without repeating the same fitting.

It is Class I — earth required and hard-wired, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. A licensed electrician installs it.

Where it works
  • Feature walls, above sideboards, flanking a fireplace.
  • Dining and living rooms, paired with a Monte pendant.
  • Bedrooms, where three soft glowing leaves suit close range.
  • ⚠ Not a hallway fitting — it projects 170 mm.
  • ⚠ Three globes on one dimmer — let us match them.
Specifying it

390 mm wide by 420 mm high, projection 170 mm, canopy 110 mm, 2 kg, in iron and glass — gloss brass frame, frosted glass. Three E14 globes to 25 W each — 75 W total, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You.

Questions
Is it 25 watts or 75?

25 W per globe, three globes, 75 W in total — and our specification table stated that correctly, which is worth saying because several fittings in this range state the total as though it were the per-globe figure.

Can I dim it?

Yes, with the right globes. Our record says “No”; the datasheet says globe dependent, and the datasheet is right — there is nothing in a fitting that simply holds three E14 globes to prevent dimming. Ask us to match globes to your dimmer: three on one circuit is exactly where mismatched LEDs flicker.

What globes does it take?

E14 — the small screw base, a candle or golf-ball globe — three of them, to 25 W each, none supplied.

Will I see the globes?

No. The glass leaves are frosted, so each one glows as a whole surface rather than showing a bright point. From across the room you see three lit shapes.

Can I put it in a hallway?

Not comfortably — it projects 170 mm, which is an obstruction in a circulation route. Give it a wall you look at.

Does it match anything else?

Yes — the Monte also comes as an 8, 12 and 16-light pendant, so the same leaf-and-brass language runs from this wall fitting to a sixteen-light chandelier.

What fixing does it need?

A proper one rather than a plasterboard plug — 2 kg on a 110 mm canopy, projecting 170 mm.
