The Domus GT-531 Siena is a sphere on an exterior pillar mount — 250 mm wide, 280 mm high, IP43, taking one E27 globe, in beige, black, burgundy, green or white.
Domus builds this fitting to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not picked off a shelf.
⚠ Two sources disagree about the sphere size, and we are not going to pick one.
What we can say: the overall width is 250 mm here against 200 mm on the GT-530, so the two are genuinely different sizes and this is the larger. If the sphere diameter matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it with Domus before you order.
IP43 protects against solid objects over 1 mm and spraying water down to 60° from vertical — lower than the IP44 or IP65 most exterior fittings carry.
If the position is exposed, ask us for an IP44 or IP65 alternative — the CLARO at IP65 is one.
✅ Use them in pairs, either side of a gate or drive. Symmetry is what makes a sphere read as deliberate rather than as an afterthought.
Aluminium, 220–240 V, hard-wired, licensed electrician. ⚠ Warranty is one year, as with the rest of the Siena range.
⚠ The mounting arrangement is described in a shared range sheet rather than one specific to this product. Tell us your pier detail before you order and we will confirm the fixing with Domus.
250 mm wide, 280 mm high, sphere on an exterior pillar mount, aluminium, in beige, black, burgundy, green or white. ⚠ Sphere diameter: our sources conflict — the web address says 25 cm and the record says Ø120 mm. Ask us. One E27 globe, NOT supplied — warm 2700–3000 K opal, about 500–700 lm, enclosed-rated. 220–240 V AC, IP43 — spraying water to 60° from vertical only; sheltered positions. Warranty 1 year.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Our sources disagree and we are not going to pick one. The web address says 25 cm; the size record says Ø120 mm — which is exactly what the smaller GT-530 records, so it looks copied rather than measured. What we can say is that the overall width is 250 mm here against 200 mm on the GT-530, so the two are genuinely different sizes and this is the larger. If the diameter matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm with Domus.
Not really. IP43 covers spraying water down to 60° from vertical, which is lower than the IP44 or IP65 most exterior fittings carry. It suits sheltered piers, porches, eaves and pillars protected from prevailing weather. Where rain arrives horizontally it is outside its rating — ask us for an IP44 or IP65 alternative, such as the CLARO.
This is the larger of the two. It has more presence on a substantial gate pier or masonry column, where the smaller one can look under-scaled, and it has a larger globe compartment so relamping is easier and there is more lamp choice. The trade is more upward spill — a bigger glowing sphere throws more light in every direction, which matters if neighbours are close.
No. One E27, warm 2700–3000 K, opal rather than clear filament — a clear globe shows as a hot spot and undoes the even glow that is the point of a sphere. Around 500 to 700 lumens, and rated for enclosed fixtures.
In pairs, either side of a gate or a drive. Symmetry is what makes a sphere read as deliberate rather than as an afterthought.
Black is the modern default and reads as a dark object by day; white and beige are traditional and stay visible, which suits a formal entry; green recedes into planting. Burgundy is the unusual one — nothing else in this catalogue offers it, and against red brick or a heritage palette it is a considered choice.
The mounting is described in a shared range sheet rather than one specific to this product, so we would rather confirm than assume. Tell us your pier detail before you order.
