The 12 W Nella is the middle of Havit's surface mounted range and, for most rooms, the one that does the job. It is supplied here in the extended body: Ø90 mm across and 240 mm deep, a proper cylinder rather than a puck, finished in powder coated black or white aluminium.
Being surface mounted, it needs no cutout. It fixes to a mounting base against the ceiling, which makes it viable on concrete slabs, rendered ceilings and timber linings — the situations where a recessed downlight is simply not an option — and removes any question about cavity depth above the plasterboard.
This is a five-colour fitting, and unlike a lot of switchable LEDs the output moves substantially with the setting: 688 lm at 2700K, 840 lm at 3000K, 916 lm at 4000K, 931 lm at 5000K and 1,004 lm at 5700K. That is a 316 lm spread from bottom to top, so the colour you choose genuinely changes how much light lands on the bench. Worth planning around if you are spacing fittings for a kitchen or a home office. The beam is 60°.
Light quality is the strong point: CRI >90, SDCM <3 so fittings match along a run, and UGR <10 from the deep baffled aperture that gives the range its "Nella Baffled" name on Havit's own installation sheet.
This listing is the 240 V AC model — mains wired, no driver in the circuit, Protection Class I so an earth connection is required, and wired in parallel across a run. It is Triac dimmable, with Havit's HV9625 Triac Dimmer listed as the matching control.
IP54 gives dust protection and resistance to splashing water from any direction, suiting eaves, alfresco ceilings and bathroom ceilings, though not immersion or pressure jets. The body carries an IK08 impact rating and a lamp expectancy under 30,000 hours. Gold, black and chrome inserts are available if you want to change the trim later, and a 3 m pendant accessory converts the fitting to a suspended one — which drops it to IP20 and makes it indoor-dry-areas only.
Havit covers the fitting with a 3 year replacement warranty. Lights For You lists the 7 W, 12 W, 18 W and 24 W Nella bodies together so the step up in output and diameter can be compared directly before you commit a whole ceiling to one size.
No. This is a surface mounted fitting — it fixes to a mounting base against the ceiling. There is no hole to cut and no ceiling cavity depth to check, which is why it works on concrete, render and timber-lined ceilings.
Considerably on this model — from 688 lm at 2700K up to 1,004 lm at 5700K. That is a difference of over 300 lm, so if you are calculating fitting spacing for a kitchen or workspace, do it against the colour temperature you actually intend to use.
Not this version. It is the 240 V AC model and connects directly to mains. It is Protection Class I, so an earth connection is required and a licensed electrician must install it.
This is the extended body: 240 mm deep and Ø90 mm across. It is designed to read as a cylinder rather than sitting close to the ceiling, so allow for that drop in rooms with lower ceilings or in circulation space.
Yes — Triac dimming on the 240 V model, and Havit lists the HV9625 Triac Dimmer as the compatible control. Use an LED-rated dimmer and check its minimum load against how many fittings share the circuit.
IP54 covers dust and splashing water from any direction, which suits bathroom ceilings, eaves and alfresco ceilings. It is not rated for immersion or high-pressure water, so have your electrician confirm it against the zone it is going into.
Output and size. The 12 W runs 688–1,004 lm against 499–601 lm for the 7 W, and its body is Ø90 mm rather than Ø75 mm. The colour settings, IP rating, beam angle and warranty are the same across both.
