Product Description
xThe Lexan is a surface mounted downlight with a genuine GU10 socket rather than a sealed LED module, and it ships with a 9-in-1 globe already fitted. That combination is what makes it unusual: most surface mounted downlights at this price are built-in LED units, and when the LED reaches the end of its life the whole fitting is replaced. Here the globe is a consumable, and the fitting stays.
What "9-in-1" means
The supplied globe is switchable across three wattages — 3 W, 5 W and 7 W — and three colour temperatures — 3000K, 4000K and 5500K. Three by three is nine combinations, and that is where the name comes from. Output moves with both settings, so the sheet quotes ranges rather than single figures: 200–560 lm at 3000K, 255–595 lm at 4000K and 270–630 lm at 5500K, with the low end of each range corresponding to the 3 W setting and the high end to 7 W.
In practice that means one fitting can be set up as a soft 3 W warm accent in a hallway or a 7 W cool light in a laundry without ordering anything different, and can be changed later by adjusting the globe rather than replacing the fitting.
Body and installation
The housing is polycarbonate in black or white — lighter than the aluminium Nella bodies and unaffected by corrosion, which is part of why it is rated IP54 for dust and splashing water from any direction. Being surface mounted it needs no cutout; it fixes to the ceiling surface, so it suits concrete, render and timber linings.
It runs on 240 V AC wired directly to mains, with fittings wired in parallel across a run, and it is Triac dimmable — though as always with a replaceable-globe fitting, whether a given installation dims cleanly depends on the globe in the socket as much as on the fitting.
Colour rendering is CRI >80 and the warranty is 3 years replacement. Because the socket is GU10, any future replacement globe must be GU10; Havit does not publish a maximum wattage for the socket, so if you are fitting a globe other than the supplied one, check its dimensions and rating against the fitting before installing it.
Lights For You stocks the Lexan in both black and white alongside a range of GU10 globes, which is the practical advantage of a socketed fitting — the light can be changed years later without touching the ceiling.
Questions
What does 9-in-1 mean?
The supplied GU10 globe is switchable across three wattages (3 W, 5 W and 7 W) and three colour temperatures (3000K, 4000K and 5500K). Three wattages times three colours is nine settings in one globe, chosen at installation and changeable later.
Does it come with a globe, or do I buy one separately?
The 9-in-1 tri-colour GU10 globe is supplied with the fitting. You do not need to buy a lamp separately to install it.
Can I replace the globe later?
Yes, and that is the main reason to choose this fitting over a built-in LED downlight. The socket is GU10, so any GU10 globe will thread in. Havit does not publish a maximum wattage for the socket, so check the dimensions and rating of a replacement globe against the fitting before fitting it.
How much light does it produce?
It depends on both settings. The datasheet quotes 200–560 lm at 3000K, 255–595 lm at 4000K and 270–630 lm at 5500K, with the bottom of each range corresponding to the 3 W setting and the top to 7 W.
Is there a cutout to make?
No. The Lexan is surface mounted and fixes to the ceiling surface, so there is no hole to cut and no ceiling cavity access required.
Can it be dimmed?
The fitting is Triac dimmable. Because the light source is a replaceable globe rather than a fixed module, how cleanly it dims also depends on the globe installed — check that the globe in the socket is rated for dimming.
Where can I use it?
IP54 covers dust and splashing water from any direction, so it is suitable for bathroom ceilings and covered outdoor areas such as eaves. It is not rated for immersion or high-pressure water.

Warranties, Return & Refund Policy
xWarranties
For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
