This is the fixed deep Prime downlight with a full-colour RGBCW engine and Wi-Fi, on a Ø90 mm cut-out, in four coloured metal finishes — HV5514RGBCW-AB, HV5514RGBCW-BR, HV5514RGBCW-CP and HV5514RGBCW-NK. It is the largest of the Prime bodies, recessed deeply, with colour mixing behind a frosted face.
Havit's ordering row measures 300 lm at 3000K and 320 lm at 5500K on this model's white channel. The switched HV5514T — same housing, same Ø90 mm hole, same 12 W — measures 839 to 913 lm. Colour therefore costs roughly two thirds of the white light on this body, and nothing about the wattage, the size or the price says so. If these are the only downlights in a living area, plan the layout around 300 lm each. The individual colours are lower again — red 15 lm, green 32 lm, blue 25 lm — since one colour uses one of three emitters.
Havit rates this model UGR <19, the low-glare figure the deep Prime bodies exist for, against <22 on the shallow HV5511 and HV5512 housings. That is more useful on a colour fitting than on a white one: a saturated source in direct view is far more noticeable than a white one at the same output, and setting it back is what keeps it out of the sightline. The diffuser is frosted perspex, which blends red, green and blue into one colour instead of showing three emitters, and which is why the beam is 120° where the switched version is 60°. It is a wash rather than an accent.
Colour, white point and level are all set from the TUYA app on a phone or tablet. Dimming happens in the app, not at the wall — there is no Triac driver in this version, so it must not be wired to a dimmer plate and should not share a dimmed circuit with the switched HV5514T. Both take the identical Ø90 mm hole, as does the tilting HV5512, so the ceiling does not lock in the decision.
It is IC-4 rated, on Havit's stated conditions: only the LED fitting may sit under insulation, the driver must never be covered and must be mounted above any insulation covering the fixture, and the fixture must not be used with loose-fill insulation such as macerated paper or wool.
The body is aluminium with a face of Ø105 mm, on 240 V AC with flex and plug supplied. Protection Class 2, so no earth is required at the fitting, and IP54 at the front of the fitting only. CRI >90, SDCM <4, IK06, lamp expectancy >50,000 hrs. Havit's warranty line for these part numbers reads "3 Years replacement warranty (items ordered after 01/01/22)". Two things Lights For You will not tidy: no overall depth is published, because Havit's drawing carries two unlabelled figures and names neither; and Havit's ordering row calls the cool white point 5500K while its page copy for the same part numbers says 6500K, so both are reported.
300 lm at 3000K and 320 lm at 5500K on the white channel — around a third of the 839–913 lm the switched HV5514T produces from the same housing and the same 12 W. Plan the number of fittings around 300 lm.
One colour uses one of the three colour emitters. Havit measures red at 15 lm, green at 32 lm and blue at 25 lm, which is normal for a colour-mixing downlight; the colour channels are for atmosphere and the white channel does the work.
Ø90 mm, with a face of Ø105 mm. The switched HV5514T and the tilting HV5512 take the same hole, so an existing 90 mm ceiling can take any of them.
Because the diffuser is frosted perspex, which mixes the three colours evenly rather than showing them separately, and frosting widens the beam. The switched version of this body uses clear glass and a 60° beam.
Havit publishes both. Its ordering row for these part numbers gives 5500K alongside the 320 lm figure and its page copy for the same part numbers says 6500K, with nothing reconciling the two, so this page reports both rather than choosing.
No. It is dimmed in the TUYA app and is not listed as Triac dimmable, so it should not be wired to a dimmer plate or share a dimmed circuit with the switched HV5514T.
It is IC-4 rated, but only the LED fitting may be covered. The driver must never be covered and must be mounted above any insulation covering the fixture, and loose-fill insulation such as macerated paper or wool must not be used with this fixture.
