This is the sensor version of the largest adjustable floodlight in the range — poly powder coated black aluminium, 360mm across, drawing 36W, with a passive infrared sensor built in. It switches on when something warm moves within its detection zone and switches itself off again afterwards, rather than staying on because someone forgot the switch.
The head is adjustable, so the light can be aimed at whatever needs lighting after the fitting is mounted. That is worth understanding as two separate decisions: where the light points, and where the sensor looks. They are related but not identical, and a floodlight aimed perfectly at a doorway can still have a sensor covering the footpath.
A PIR responds to warm objects moving across its field of view rather than toward it, so a sensor positioned to look along an approach path triggers more reliably than one looking straight down it. That single detail is the difference between a light that comes on as you reach the gate and one that comes on as you reach the door.
At this size, sensor placement stops being a convenience question and becomes a neighbour question. A large floodlight triggering through the night across a boundary is the most common source of complaint about exterior lighting, and it is entirely a positioning problem. Establish what the sensor sees and what the beam reaches, at night, before the installation is signed off — and aim downward rather than outward wherever the site allows.
The fitting is tri-colour, so the colour temperature is selected on the fitting at installation rather than being fixed at manufacture: 3000K, 4000K or 5500K, rated at 2170lm, 2430lm and 2225lm respectively. Colour rendering is above 80 CRI.
For a sensor light the cooler settings generally do the job better. 5500K reads as brighter for the same output and gives sharper contrast on a moving figure, which is the point of a light that only comes on when something moves.
It runs on 240V AC mains and requires no driver. It is a Class 1 fitting and requires an earth connection, so installation is work for a licensed electrician. It is rated IP65 for dust and jetted water and can be mounted on a fully exposed wall.
Aim the head after it is mounted and powered, and then walk the approach at night to confirm both the beam and the trigger point before deciding the job is done. Rated lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs, and the LED is built in.

Usually position. Pets, passing traffic, washing on a line and cooling surfaces can all trigger a PIR. Repositioning or re-aiming the fitting is the usual fix.
This version is designed to switch on detection. If you want a floodlight that runs from the circuit, the plain version without a sensor is sold on its own listing.
