Domus BF-8418 Raw Ceramic Interior Wall Light

The Domus BF-8418 is a 70 mm wide raw ceramic wall light, 165 mm tall, taking two G9 lamps and supplied unpainted. It is the narrowest fitting in the range.

⭐ The only vertical one — and the only one narrower than it is tall

70 mm wide, 165 mm tall, 90 mm deep. Every other raw ceramic here is a horizontal block or band. This is a slim vertical column, better than twice as tall as it is wide.

• ✅ It fits where nothing else in the range does — a 70 mm face will sit on a door reveal, a narrow pier, the strip of wall between two openings, a stair string.
• ✅ Repeated down a corridor it reads as a series of marks rather than a broken line.
• ✅ Two G9s stacked vertically give a taller, more even column of light than a single lamp in a fitting this narrow could.
• ⚠ It lights very little wall. If you want a wash, almost anything else in this range does it better; this is a vertical accent.

⚠ Two things about this listing’s data, before you search for it again

• ⚠ Its web address carries no model number. Of the 30 raw ceramics Domus makes, this is the only one whose address does not contain its model — so searching “BF-8418” will not find this page by its address. Bookmark it, or ask us for it by name.
• ⚠ Its name says “two-way” and no Domus source confirms it. The datasheet prose reads only “Raw ceramic wall light”. We know Domus states it when it is true — the BF-2607B and BF-2608B sheets say light emits upwards and downwards in as many words. This one does not. If a downward wash is why you are buying it, ask us and we will look at a fitting first.

⭐ Two G9s, and the wattage is settled

• 60 W is the maximum per lamp — 120 W across the two. Across all 17 G9 fittings in the BF range the sheet says 60 W whether a fitting takes one lamp or two, so it is not a total; the BF-2185 (one G9) says 40 W; and the BF-2020 states “2x60W” in its own title.
• ⚠ In a body 70 mm wide, use LEDs. There is less air in this fitting than in almost anything else in the range, and 120 W of halogen in it is a poor idea. Two 4 W LED G9s come to 8 W.
• ⚠ Both lamps identical. In a narrow vertical fitting, two different G9s show as an obvious change of colour partway up the column.
