Domus BF-8286 Raw Ceramic Interior Wall Light

The Domus BF-8286 is a 320 mm raw ceramic wall light, 100 mm high with a 130 mm projection, taking one E27 lamp and supplied unpainted.

✅ It records every dimension — which in this range is worth saying

320 mm wide, 100 mm high, 130 mm projection. Four fittings in this ceramic family leave the height or the width blank; this one gives all three, so you can plan the installation from the page rather than from an estimate.

⚠ The 130 mm projection is a middling one for the range — deeper than the flat wedges, shallower than the BF-8232’s 180 mm. In most rooms it is unremarkable; in a tight corridor, still measure.

⚠ Four models, three near-identical widths, and nothing to choose between them

• ⛔ No Domus source says what makes one the right choice over another. Every one of the four datasheets reads simply “Raw ceramic wall light”.
• ⚠ The differences are almost certainly in the shape — the aperture, the profile of the shell — which is not a recorded field anywhere in this catalogue.
• ✅ So choose on the photograph, and ask us to compare them if it matters. A 10 mm difference in width is not a reason to pick one; the form is.

⛔ Two sources give two different maximum wattages

• The datasheet says 60 W. Our record says 20 W.
• ⭐ 11 of the 12 E27 raw ceramics in this range carry the same conflict; the exception, the BF-2440, has a sheet genuinely reading “20 W CFL” — the likely source of the rest.
• ✅ We work to the datasheet’s 60 W; an E27 LED at 8–10 W sits under both.

What raw ceramic means

• ⚠ Porous until painted, so it marks.
• ⚠ Indoor, dry areas only.
• ✅ Made in Italy, body-coloured throughout.

Choosing the lamp — not supplied

• ✅ E27 LED, 8–10 W, 2700–3000 K, enclosed-rated.
• ⚠ Check it fits the cavity — a compact globe over a long candle.
• ✅ CRI ≥90 if the wall is a colour.
• ⛔ E27, not E14.

Where it works

• A hallway or living-room wall — 320 mm is a comfortable width that suits most walls.
• Repeated along a corridor, where the 130 mm projection stays reasonable.
• Above a bedhead or beside a doorway, matched as a pair.
• ⚠ Not on a poorly finished wall.
