Product Description
xThe Rye outdoor pendant is the hanging version of the Rye lantern — a vintage glass fitting rated IP44 for covered outdoor use. Its real advantage is that it mounts four different ways, which is unusual and is what makes it fit awkward ceilings.
Four mounting options from one box
It comes with a 250 mm rod and a 1,000 mm chain, and can be installed close to ceiling, on the rod, on the chain, or on rod and chain together. So a low verandah gets the close-to-ceiling fix, a high pergola gets rod and chain, and you decide on site rather than at order time. A ceiling rose of 100 mm diameter and 20 mm depth is included.
IP44 is a covered-outdoor rating
IP44 protects against splashing from any direction. That covers a verandah, a pergola or a porch comfortably. It does not cover direct hosing or a fully exposed position in driving rain. Note it is also hardwired — there is no plug — so a licensed electrician installs it, and no driver or transformer is needed.
Two sizes, two finishes
The small is ø210 mm and 300 mm tall; the large steps up from there. Both come in black or antique brass. A row of smalls along a verandah reads better than a single large one stranded in the middle.
Where it works
- Verandahs and porches, using the close-to-ceiling fix where headroom is tight.
- Pergolas and covered alfresco areas, on rod and chain.
- Covered entries, in a pair either side of a doorway.
- Indoors too — a kitchen or hallway wanting the vintage glass look.
Specifying it
One E27 globe up to 25 W, not supplied. Rated IP44, 240 V, hardwired, no driver required. Dimmable. Supplied with the pendant, rod, chain, ceiling rose and instructions. Warranty is three years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Decide the mounting method before the electrician starts — all four options are in the box, but changing afterwards means going back into the ceiling.

How does it mount?

Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, in a covered position. It is IP44 — protected against splashing from any direction, but not direct hosing or full exposure.
Is a globe included?
No. One E27 globe of up to 25 W, supplied separately.
Does it need a driver or transformer?
No. It runs directly on 240 V and is hardwired by a licensed electrician.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, with a suitable dimmable globe and dimmer.
What sizes and finishes are there?
Small at ø210 mm × 300 mm and a larger size, each in black or antique brass.
What is the warranty?
Three years.

xWarranties
For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
