Product Description
xThe Norel PE4 is a 405 mm four-light drum pendant with rippled clear glass, in antique gold, black or polished nickel — four E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, on a 1,500 mm suspension.
⚠ The glass is clear AND textured, and that decides what globes to buy. The variant names say “Clear”; the copy describes “a rippled, artisanal quality”. Both are true.
Clear reveals; ripple distorts. You do see the globes — but broken up, refracted and multiplied by the surface rather than as four sharp filaments. It sits between the opal fittings, where the globe is invisible, and plain clear glass, where it is exposed.
So the globes are part of the look:
- A compact shape — candle or golf-ball. A large decorative globe reads as a distorted blob through ripple.
- Warm 2700 K, and especially against antique gold, since cool white reads green.
- All four together, same brand — rippled glass multiplies a colour mismatch rather than hiding it.
- A clear decorative LED filament works beautifully: the ripple turns one filament into a scatter of warm points.

The smaller drum — and where 405 mm is the right answer

The two share exactly the same height and differ only in diameter and light count — which is a clean, honest range, and worth saying, because several ranges in this catalogue are not.
405 mm suits:
- A smaller dining table or a breakfast area, where 500 mm would crowd it.
- An entry or a hallway end, as a single piece.
- A pair over a kitchen island — two 405 mm drums along a bench read better than one 500.
- A bedroom, centred, where a drum's shallow profile keeps the ceiling feeling high.
Why a drum works over a table
Wide and shallow — 405 mm across, 252 mm deep. A tall pendant of the same width hangs into the sightline between people sitting opposite each other; a drum stays above it, spreading four sources across the table and remaining something you can see past.
Four globes, 100 watts of capacity
Four E14 to 25 W each — 100 W total, not supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES. (Our page called it “ES”, the larger E27 base. It is E14.) With LED candles at 4 to 6 W the real draw is about 20 W.
It dims, with the right globes. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and page both say globe dependent, and they are right. On rippled clear glass that is particularly worth doing: low, the room falls back and the scatter of refracted points is all you see. With only four globes, a matched dimmable set is easy and cheap — ask us.
Three finishes, and what changes with them
- Antique gold — warm and traditional. Lit warm, the whole fitting reads amber; it sits with timber, brass and warm paint.
- Black — graphic. The frame becomes a dark outline, so the glass and its refractions are all you see. The most contemporary.
- Polished nickel — cool and reflective; it picks up the refracted light and carries it around the frame, which is the most sparkling of the three and closest in effect to crystal.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
