The Noce is a long, slim linear pendant in walnut timber on an aluminium chassis, sold in two lengths: HV6010T at 1300mm drawing 20W, and HV6012T at 1800mm drawing 28W. The body is only 45mm deep.
A linear pendant does a different job from a round one. Over a rectangular dining table or a long island, a single line of light covers the full surface evenly, where a round pendant lights the centre and leaves the ends dim — which is why long tables so often end up with two or three round fittings rather than one. The Noce solves that with one fixing and one cable.
Match the fitting to the table rather than to the room. As a rule the pendant should be comfortably shorter than the surface below it so the ends of the table are not overhung — a fitting that extends past the table edge reads as a mistake even when the lighting is right.
HV6010T at 1300mm suits a six-seat table or a standard island. HV6012T at 1800mm is for a long table, a large island or a boardroom-scale surface.
The 1300mm version is rated at 1600lm, 1800lm and 1700lm across its colour settings; the 1800mm version at 2240lm, 2520lm and 2380lm. Both are tri-colour — 3000K, 4000K or 5500K, selected at installation rather than fixed at manufacture — with colour rendering above 80 CRI and a 120° beam.
As with any walnut fitting, 3000K is the setting that suits the timber. Cooler light flattens the grain and makes the walnut read grey rather than brown.
The Noce is dimmable. It runs on 240V AC mains with no driver required, is Class 1 and requires an earth, and is rated IP20 and IK05 — a dry-interior fitting.
Two things decide whether a linear pendant looks right: it must hang level, and it must hang square to the table. Both are harder than they sound on a 1800mm fitting, and both are set at the ceiling. Have the electrician confirm the fixing points against the table position before the ceiling is closed up, not after.
Walnut deepens in colour over the first year or two and lightens unevenly under sustained direct sun, so keep it away from a window that gets hard afternoon light. Rated lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs, and the LED is built in — no globe to buy and none to replace.
