Bonura Pendant Light 1Lt

The Bonura is a single-globe glass pendant on a cable — the simplest useful shape there is, which is why it comes in four combinations rather than one. The decision is a pair of choices: how big, and whether you want to see the globe.

Smoke or clear — this is the real choice

With smoked glass the globe is a warm shape behind grey; the filament is softened and you can look straight at it. With clear glass the globe is fully visible, so the lamp you buy becomes part of the fitting. Clear glass with a plain frosted globe looks unfinished — if you choose Nickel/Clear, buy a decorative filament globe to go in it.

Two sizes, and they hang differently

The small is ø140 mm and 200 mm tall; the large is ø200 mm and 300 mm tall. The small one is made to be grouped — three in a row over an island, or a pair either side of a bed. The large works alone over a side table or in a stairwell. Height is adjustable at installation on a 2,000 mm cable, so the drop is genuinely yours to set, unlike a rod-hung fitting.

Where it works

• Kitchen islands, using two or three of the small size at even centres.
• Bedsides, hung low in place of a lamp, freeing the table surface.
• Stairwells and entries, using the large size on a long cable drop.
• Over a bar or servery, where the glass is at eye level and smoke is the kinder choice.

Specifying it

One E27 holder, 25 W maximum, globe not supplied. Dimming is globe dependent — the fitting does not restrict it, so a dimmable globe on a compatible dimmer will work. It runs on 240 V, is IP20 and indoor only, and is Class I, so it requires an earth. There is no lead and plug: this is hard-wired by an electrician, not plugged in. Suspension is a 2,000 mm cable, adjustable at installation. Warranty is three years.
