Bobo LED Pendant Light 10Lt

The Bobo is a ten-light pendant hung with ribbed barrel glass shades on a ø450 mm canopy. The ribbing is what the fitting is built around: it catches and repeats the light source, so the shades read as texture rather than plain cylinders.

Ribbed glass wants the right globe

The ribs do their work when there is a defined filament or point source behind them — a twinkle or decorative LED G9 accentuates the ribbing, while a flat opaque globe washes it out. The shades are ø105 mm and 100 mm high, so the globe sits close to the glass and the effect is visible from across a room.

Ten lights at 3 W, and they are supplied

Unlike most pendants in this range, the G9 LED light sources are included — ten of them at 3 W each, fixed at 3000 K warm white. That also means the colour temperature is decided for you, and the fitting is not dimmable. If you want to dim a dining pendant, this is not the one.

Two finishes, two different moods

Antique gold with opal matt glass is the softer, warmer option and diffuses the globes. Black with smoked glass shows the light sources far more directly and is the more dramatic of the two.

• Dining tables and islands, where the ø450 mm canopy suits a wide surface.
• Entry voids and stairwells, seen from below where the ribbing reads best.
• Living rooms wanting a decorative centre with no globes to source.
• Rooms on a plain switch, since the fitting is not dimmable.

Specifying it

Canopy ø450 mm, shades ø105 mm × 100 mm high. Ten G9 LED sources at 3 W, supplied, fixed at 3000 K, CRI above 80. It runs on 240 V, is IP20 and indoor only, and is not dimmable. Warranty is three years.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Because it is non-dimmable, put it on its own switch rather than a dimmed circuit shared with other lighting.
