Product Description
xThe Bally 16 is the largest sphere in the Bally family — ø400 mm of blasted opal glass, against 300 mm for the Bally 12 and 200 mm for the Bally 8. At this size it stops being one of a group and becomes the fitting.
400 mm is a single-fitting sphere
Hung alone over a dining table of about 1.1 m or in an entry void, it holds the space on its own. Three of these in a row would overwhelm most kitchens — if you want a row, the Bally 8 or 10 is the size to use.
A large opal sphere is a soft room light
Because the glass is blasted and the form is round, light leaves in every direction and nothing is glary from any angle. That makes a large Bally unusual among decorative pendants: it can genuinely serve as the main light in a room rather than just an accent over a table.
Four finishes
Antique gold, black and nickel with opal matt, plus antique gold with Alabastro — a milkier glass with more internal variation, which at 400 mm is more visible than on the smaller sizes.
Where it works
- Dining tables of about 1.1 m and up, hung alone.
- Entry voids and stairwells, seen from more than one level.
- Bedrooms as the central light, where the diffused sphere avoids glare.
- Living rooms, as a single soft source rather than downlights.
Specifying it
Sphere ø400 mm, canopy ø47 mm, suspension 2,000 mm shortened at installation. One E27 globe up to 25 W, not supplied. Effectively a 360° source. It runs on 240 V and is IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You. In a sphere this size, use a high-output LED globe within the 25 W limit — a small lamp will glow the glass without lighting the room.

How big is it?
A ø400 mm sphere — the largest of the Bally sizes.
Should I hang one or several?
One. At ø400 mm it holds a space alone. For a row, use the Bally 8 or 10.
Is a globe included?
No. One E27 globe of up to 25 W, supplied separately. Use a high-output LED lamp so it lights the room, not just the glass.
What is the maximum globe wattage?
We publish 25 W. Our sources disagree — one says 60 W — so we quote the lower figure.
Can it be the main light in a room?
Yes. A large blasted-opal sphere throws light in every direction with no glare, which most decorative pendants cannot manage.
What is Alabastro?
A milkier glass with more internal variation than plain opal matt — more visible at this size than on the smaller Ballys.
What is the warranty?
Three years.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
