Siena LED Uplighter Wall Light CCT 6w Black, White Havit Lighting - HV3654T

The Siena is an uplighter — a very small fitting, 72 mm wide and 38 mm deep, that throws a 120° fan of light up the wall it is fixed to. That makes it a texture light rather than an area light: on brick, stone or a bagged render it rakes across the surface and turns the material into the feature. It works because it is small; a bigger uplighter on the same wall becomes the object you notice instead of the wall. IP54 sets the constraint, so the position needs deciding first.

Sheltered positions only

At IP54 the Siena is rated for splashing water, not direct rain. It belongs under an eave, in a covered porch or entry recess, under an alfresco roof or in a carport — anywhere the fitting itself stays dry when it rains. On an open facade it will eventually take water in. A fully exposed feature wall needs an IP65 uplighter instead.

Specifying it

HV3654T-BLK and HV3654T-WHT are 240 V AC, wired straight to mains, no driver required, and earthed as Class I fittings. The 6 W LED is built in — there is no globe to buy and none can be fitted. Tri-colour switching gives 230 lm at 3000K, 255 lm at 4000K and 235 lm at 5500K, spread over a 120° beam. Frosted glass diffuser softens the source so you see the lit wall rather than the fitting. Aluminium body in black or white, IP54, IK08. Triac dimmable. Backed by a 3-year replacement warranty.

Getting the effect right

Uplighting rewards texture and punishes flatness. On smooth painted render a 120° fan reads as a plain triangle of light; on brick, stone or bagged render it reads as material. Mount low — knee height or below — so the fan has wall to travel up, and set the colour temperature before the fitting is closed.
