Bayside Outdoor LED Wall Light

The Bayside is a traditional bulkhead-style exterior wall light in 316 stainless steel with a glass diffuser, built to take an E27 globe rather than a sealed LED. That is the reason to choose it: the light source is a standard screw-base globe you can buy anywhere and change yourself, so the fitting outlives whatever globe technology is current. It measures 110 mm wide, 113 mm deep and 235 mm high, and comes in stainless steel, black or white. The rating is IP54, so plan a sheltered position — under an eave or a covered entry, not on an unprotected facade.

The choice to make

Finish is your only variant decision: HV3659W-SS316 in stainless steel, HV3659W-BLK in black or HV3659W-WHT in white. The stainless version suits coastal frontages; black and white are powder-coated for a specified colour match. The light itself depends on the globe you fit — with a nominal 8 W, 800 lm, 2700 K warm-white globe, the glass diffuser spreads a soft 180° wash rather than a directional beam.

Specifying it

The Bayside is 240 V and wires straight to mains — no driver or transformer is involved. It is a Class 1 fitting and requires an earth. The globe is an E27 large screw base and it is fully replaceable; a B22 bayonet, E14 or GU10 globe will not fit the socket. No socket wattage ceiling is published for this fitting, so check the maximum stated on the fitting's own label before buying a globe and stay within it — particularly relevant here because the glass diffuser encloses the lamp and traps heat. The fitting is dimmable, but that depends on the globe you fit being a dimmable type and on a compatible dimmer. Rated life of a suitable LED globe exceeds 30,000 hours; impact rating is IK02.
