Lisse Fixed LED Wall Light in Black or White

The Lisse is a fixed-down exterior wall light in poly powder coated aluminium with a tempered glass lens — a plain rectangular block that throws its light straight down the wall it is mounted on. There is no adjustment and no visible lamp: the 12 W LED is built in behind the glass, so what you get is a clean downward wash with no glare at eye level and nothing on the face of the fitting to date it.

The choice to make

Two decisions, and both are made at the checkout rather than at install. The first is finish — black or white, at the same price. The second is supply voltage, and this is the one to get right: the listing sells a 240 V version and a 12 V version of the same fitting, and they are not interchangeable once installed. HV3652T-BLK-240V and HV3652T-WHT-240V wire straight to mains. HV3652T-BLK-12V and HV3652T-WHT-12V are low-voltage fittings that require a separate 12 V DC LED driver, which is not included.

Colour temperature is set on the fitting at install by a slide switch, and the output is worth reading carefully because it does not simply rise with temperature: 475 lm at 3000K, 560 lm at 4000K, and 515 lm at 5500K. The middle setting is the brightest of the three.

Where it works

• Beside an entry door under the eave, washing the threshold.
• Repeated along a covered walkway or verandah at even centres.
• A courtyard or alfresco wall that is protected from direct rain.
• Stair and landing walls outdoors, where a downward wash lights the treads.

Specifying it

The fitting is IP54, which covers splashing water rather than weather, so it needs to sit under an eave, a soffit or a balcony rather than on an exposed facade. It is not dimmable — both sheets agree — so no dimmer belongs on the circuit. The LED is integral: there is no globe to buy and none to replace, and at end of life the fitting is replaced rather than relamped.

If you choose a 12 V version, three limits come with it. It must be run from a suitable 12 V DC LED driver and must not be connected directly to 240 V. It cannot sit more than 25 m from that driver. And the supply must stay within 5% of nominal. Havit voids the warranty outside any of those.
