HV3623T-BLK - Quadru Square Black TRI Colour Fixed Down LED Wall Light

The Quadru is a small square fixed-down wall light in black, and its defining feature is that it takes a replaceable GU10 globe rather than a sealed LED module. That is a genuine decision point, not a detail: a globe-based fitting can be re-lamped in ten years for the price of a globe instead of replaced, and you can change the colour temperature later by changing the globe. The trade-off is the IP rating — at IP54 this fitting is built for splashing rather than driving rain, so where it goes matters more than with a sealed IP65 fitting.

Sheltered positions only

IP54 means protection against splashing water, not direct weather. In practice that puts the Quadru under an eave, in a covered porch, inside a roofed alfresco or in a carport — anywhere rain cannot land on it directly. Mounted on an exposed facade it will eventually let water into the globe cavity. If the position is fully open to the sky, choose an IP65 fitting instead.

• Under a deep eave beside a front door, throwing a downward wash on the entry.
• Covered porches and verandah walls where the roofline keeps rain off the fitting.
• Roofed alfresco and outdoor kitchen walls, downlighting a bench or a doorway.
• Carports and covered breezeways along an internal wall.

Specifying it

HV3623T-BLK runs on 240 V AC, so it wires straight to mains with no driver, and being Class I it requires an earth. The GU10 globe is replaceable and a different base will not fit — a GU10 is a twist-lock two-pin, and an MR16 or E27 globe cannot be adapted into the socket. The globe is not included, so check the maximum wattage marked on the fitting's own label before you buy one; fitting a globe above that limit is a fire risk and voids the warranty. Tri-colour output from the supplied family is 270 lm at 3000K, 285 lm at 4000K and 300 lm at 5500K. Aluminium body, clear glass, IP54, IK08. A 3-year replacement warranty applies.
