The Serres is a compact surface-mounted low-voltage wall light offered here across five finishes on one listing — antique brass, black, brass, stainless steel and white — so the choice is really about what the wall behind it is doing. The 12 V decision

Every variant on this listing — HV3286T-AB-12V, HV3286T-BLK-12V, HV3286T-BR-12V, HV3286T-SS316-12V and HV3286T-WHT-12V — runs on 12 V DC. Each requires a 12 V DC LED driver sized for the total load of the fittings sharing it, and none may ever be connected directly to 240 V — doing so destroys the fitting on the spot and is not a warranty claim. The maximum distance from driver to fitting is 25 m; exceeding it takes the supply out of specification and voids the warranty. As Class III fittings they need no earth at the light.
