HV3285T-AB-12V - Kaval Antique Brass Surface Mounted LED Wall Light

The Kaval in antique brass is a small surface-mounted exterior wall light with a built-in LED behind clear glass, sitting alongside the Patra as the other body shape in the same low-voltage marker family. At 1.5 W it is not an area light — its job is to mark a step, an edge or a wall line with a discreet point of light, repeated along a run. Antique brass arrives already aged and continues to weather outdoors, which suits heritage frontages and landscaped garden walls. It is 12 V: HV3285T-AB-12V requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V power.

The choice to make

This listing is the antique brass Kaval. What is left is the driver, the spacing and the colour temperature, selectable on the fitting: 100 lm at 3000K, 110 lm at 4000K and 105 lm at 5500K. Warm 3000K sits most comfortably with the brass tone and with brick or stone surrounds; the cooler settings read more contemporary but work against the aged finish.

Specifying it

The Kaval requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must be installed no more than 25 m from it — a warranty limit, because voltage drop over a longer cable run reduces output and shortens LED life. Do not connect the fitting directly to 240 V power. It is Class 3 low voltage, so no earth is required. The LED is built in: no globe is needed and none can be fitted. It is rated IP65, with IP67 also recorded, so direct rain and coastal weather are within its capability, and it carries an IK08 impact rating behind clear glass. Rated life is under 30,000 hours. It is Triac dimmable, which on a low-voltage circuit means the driver must be Triac-dimmable.
