HV3284T-SS316-12V - Patra 316 Stainless Steel Surface Mounted LED Wall Light

The 316 stainless steel Patra is the coastal specification of this small surface-mounted marker light. 316 is the marine grade — the one to insist on within sight of salt water, where 304 stainless and painted metal both eventually show tea staining and pitting. The fitting is compact, with a built-in LED behind clear glass, drawing 1.5 W to mark an edge, a step or a wall line rather than light an area. It is 12 V: HV3284T-SS316-12V requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V power.

The choice to make

This listing is the 316 stainless finish, chosen for salt exposure rather than appearance. What remains is the driver, the layout and the colour temperature, selectable on the fitting: 100 lm at 3000K, 110 lm at 4000K and 105 lm at 5500K. On a coastal elevation the cooler settings tend to read cleaner against stainless and glass; 3000K keeps a softer, more residential feel.

Specifying it

A 12 V DC LED driver is required, and the fitting must be installed no more than 25 m from it — a warranty limit, since voltage drop over a longer cable run dims the LED and shortens its life. Do not connect the fitting directly to 240 V power. It is Class 3 low voltage, so no earth is required. The LED is built in: no globe is needed and none can be fitted. It is rated IP65, with IP67 also recorded, so it handles direct rain and coastal weather, and it carries an IK08 impact rating with a clear glass diffuser. Rated life is under 30,000 hours. It is Triac dimmable, which on a 12 V circuit requires a Triac-dimmable driver. Even in 316, rinsing salt off periodically extends the finish.
