HV3284T-BR-12V - Patra Solid Brass Surface Mounted LED Wall Light

The solid brass Patra is the version for people who want the fitting to weather with the building. Solid brass is not a coating — it patinas through gold to bronze to a muted brown, faster near salt air, and it cannot chip or flake the way a powder-coated finish can. The fitting itself is a small surface-mounted marker light with a built-in LED behind clear glass, drawing 1.5 W to define an edge or a step rather than light a space. It is 12 V: HV3284T-BR-12V requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V power.

The choice to make

This listing is solid brass, distinct from the antique brass version which starts already aged. Solid brass begins bright and does its own weathering, so choose it when you want the patina to develop on site. The colour temperature is selectable on the fitting: 100 lm at 3000K, 110 lm at 4000K and 105 lm at 5500K. Warm 3000K suits the brass tone best; the cooler settings push the light towards a more clinical read that slightly fights the finish.

Specifying it

The fitting requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must be installed no more than 25 m from it — a warranty limit, because voltage drop over a longer run reduces output and shortens LED life. Do not connect the fitting directly to 240 V power. It is Class 3 low voltage and needs no earth. The LED is built in, so no globe is needed and none can be fitted. It is rated IP65, with IP67 also recorded, giving protection against direct rain and coastal weather. The diffuser is clear glass, impact rating IK08 and rated life under 30,000 hours. It is Triac dimmable, which on a low-voltage circuit means the driver has to be Triac-dimmable.
