Titanium Aluminium Double Adjustable

This is the double-headed Tivah in titanium-coloured aluminium: two independently adjustable heads on one backing plate, each with 90° of tilt and 270° of swivel and a high-output reflector behind the lamp. Two heads on a single wiring point is the whole argument for it — one hole in the pillar, one cable, and light going up and down the wall, or two separate directions across a driveway, from a single fitting.

The choice to make

Three part numbers, and they differ electrically:

• HV1385T — 240 V GU10 with switchable globes stepping through 3 W, 5 W and 7 W per head.
• HV1387GU10T — 240 V GU10 at a fixed 5 W per head, giving 2 × 270 lm at 3000K, 2 × 285 lm at 4000K and 2 × 300 lm at 5500K.
• HV1387MR16T — 12 V DC MR16 at 5 W per head with the same per-head output, requiring a 12 V DC LED driver.

Note how the output is written. The figures are per head — a fitting set to 5500K produces 300 lm from each of its two lamps, which is how the datasheet states it and how it should be read when you compare it against a single-head fitting.

Where it works

• Driveway pillars, with one head washing up the pillar and the other down onto the surface.
• Between two windows on a facade, throwing symmetric scallops of light.
• Boundary and courtyard walls where a single fitting has to cover a tall span.
• Exposed positions — at IP65 it does not require an eave.

Specifying it

The fitting is IP65 and surface mounts to a wall. The 240 V versions are wired to mains; the MR16 version is a low-voltage fitting that takes a 12 V DC LED driver and must not be connected to mains. Because it carries two lamps, the load on that driver is double what a single-head fitting draws — size for the total, and wire multiple fittings in parallel. The datasheet limits a low-voltage fitting to 25 m from its driver with the supply within 5% of nominal, and voids the warranty outside those.

It is not dimmable with the globes supplied. Globes are replaceable and the ceilings differ by version — 35 W on a 240 V GU10, 20 W on a 12 V MR16, and that is per lamp, not per fitting. The titanium finish sits between the black and the stainless in the same family, and Lights For You carries the matching single-head Tivah if an elevation needs both.
