The single-head Tivah in solid copper is the same body as the white and black versions in a material that behaves completely differently over time. One head, tilting through 90° and swivelling through 270° on a matching copper backing plate, with a high-output reflector behind the lamp.

Copper is a decision about the next ten years, not the photograph

It arrives bright and does not stay that way. Outdoors it darkens through browns within the first year, and in salt air it will eventually go green. Nothing about that is a fault — it is why solid copper is specified on heritage and coastal work, where a powder-coated aluminium fitting would chalk and start to look neglected instead. Havit asks that gloves be worn during installation so that finger marks do not print into the surface before it weathers evenly. If you want the fitting to look the same in five years as it does on delivery, order the powder-coated aluminium version instead; this is not that product.

Choosing between the three part numbers

• HV1215T — 240 V GU10 with the 9-in-1 switchable globe. Set it to 3 W, 5 W or 7 W at install: 240–560 lm at 3000K, 255–595 lm at 4000K, 270–630 lm at 5500K, in a 60° beam. Triac dimmable.
• HV1217GU10T — 240 V GU10 fixed at 5 W: 270 lm, 285 lm and 300 lm across the three temperatures, in a wider 120° beam. Not dimmable as supplied.
• HV1217MR16T — the same output and beam at 12 V DC on an MR16 base, requiring its own driver.

The practical difference between the top and bottom of that list is control. The 9-in-1 globe lets an electrician tune output on site once the fitting is up and the wall is lit, which matters more on a pillar than on a bench — you rarely know how much light a surface needs until you see it.

Wiring and limits

Both GU10 versions are Class 1 and wire straight to mains with an earth. The MR16 version is 12 V DC: it needs an LED driver, must sit within 25 m of it, and the supply must stay within 5% of nominal or the warranty is void. Maximum globe wattage is 35 W on a 240 V GU10 and 20 W on a 12 V MR16. IP65 means an exposed pillar needs no eave. Colour temperature is a switch on the globe, so one order covers warm through cool.
