Tivah Maxi Up/Down LED Wall Light CCT in Black

The Maxi Tivah up/down is the large-format member of the family, and the scale changes what it is for. Two 12 W built-in LEDs produce up to 1,200 lm in each direction — roughly four times the output of the standard-size Tivah — from a 250 mm body on a matching backing plate. This is the fitting for a wall that has to be lit rather than marked: a double-height entry, a tall pillar, a facade where a normal wall light simply disappears.

The choice to make

There is one part number, HV1028T in poly powder coated black, so ordering is simple and the decisions are all made on the wall. The beam is 60° — narrow, and deliberately so at this output. Two narrow high-output beams produce a defined hourglass on the wall rather than a general glow, which is the effect most people are after when they specify a large up/down fitting; but it means aim and mounting height matter more here than on a wide-beam light.

Colour temperature is selected at install and output climbs with it: 2 × 1,080 lm at 3000K, 2 × 1,140 lm at 4000K and 2 × 1,200 lm at 5500K. Read those per direction. At this brightness the temperature choice is consequential — 3000K keeps a large entry warm and welcoming, while 5500K at full output reads as security lighting.

Where it works

• Double-height entries and tall facades where a standard fitting is lost.
• Substantial driveway or gate pillars.
• Feature walls that are meant to be seen after dark.
• Exposed positions — at IP65 it needs no eave.

Specifying it

It runs on 240 V AC and wires straight to mains: no driver, no transformer, no low-voltage run to plan. The LED is built in, so there is no globe to buy or replace and the fitting is replaced at end of life rather than relamped. It is not dimmable — both datasheets say so — so no dimmer belongs on the circuit. The datasheet does require the supply to sit within 5% of nominal voltage, which is worth mentioning to your electrician on a long run.

The body is aluminium and the rating is IP65, so weather exposure is fine. On a site taking direct salt air, note that this is the aluminium member of the Tivah family rather than the stainless or solid brass; if the fitting will be hit by spray, one of those is the more durable specification and we carry both. The Maxi carries a 3-year replacement warranty.
