Halo LED Wall Light RGBW 18w in Black or White Havit Lighting - HV3593RGBW

The 18 W RGBW Halo is the app-controlled member of the family: RGB colour mixing plus a 3000K white channel, dimmed and set from a phone rather than a wall dimmer. That changes what it is for. A fitting you can recolour from the couch belongs on the wall you look at while entertaining — the pool wall, the courtyard feature panel, the bar surround — not on the path to the front door. At 350 lm it is an effect light; the tri-colour HV3593T gives four times as much from the same 18 W, because colour mixing always costs output.

The 12 V requirement

HV3593RGBW-BLK and HV3593RGBW-WHT run on 12 V DC only. Each requires a 12 V DC LED driver rated for the combined load of everything on that circuit, and must never be connected directly to 240 V — the fitting is destroyed instantly and the failure is not covered. As a Class III fitting it needs no earth at the light.

Specifying it

The 18 W LED is built in: no globe, no socket, nothing to replace. Output is 350 lm across RGB and 3000K white, over a 180° beam. Dimming is by app rather than by a wall dimmer, so no triac dimmer is needed or usable. Aluminium body in black or white with a polycarbonate diffuser, IP65. Covered by a 3-year replacement warranty.

Planning the run

Because dimming and colour both happen through the app, plan the driver capacity and the control setup together before the walls are closed — the fitting is the cheap part of a retro-fit, the wiring is not.
