Product Description
xThe Kman EX1 is the single-direction version of the Kman cylinder — light downward only, from a compact aluminium body taking a GU10 globe. The twin-beam EX2 is the same fitting shining both ways.
Down-only is often the right choice
An up/down fitting draws a pair of scallops on the wall. Sometimes that is the effect you want; often it is not — over a doorway, above a path, or on a wall where the upward beam would spill onto a neighbour or a window above. The EX1 puts all its light where you need it and none where you do not.
IP54, which is genuinely exposed
Rated IP54 — dust protected and shielded against splashing from any direction. That is a step above the IP44 fittings in this range and makes it suitable for a wall with no shelter at all.
Replaceable globes
GU10 globes are not supplied, and that is the advantage: you choose warm, natural or cool white and the beam angle, and you change a globe rather than the whole fitting when one fails. Maximum 6 W — a low ceiling, so buy LED lamps at or below that.
Where it works
- Above doorways and entries, where an upward beam would be wasted.
- Paths and steps, aimed down.
- Walls below windows, where uplight would spill inside.
- Exposed coastal and weather-facing walls.
Specifying it
70 mm high, 50 mm wide, in aluminium. One GU10 globe, 6 W maximum, not supplied. 240 V, rated IP54. Dimming is globe dependent. Black, silver or white. Warranty is three years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You. If you want light going up as well, the Kman EX2 is the same cylinder with two beams.
Questions
How is it different from the Kman EX2?
The EX1 shines downward only; the EX2 is the same cylinder with both up and down beams.
When would I want down-only?
Above a doorway, over a path, or below a window — anywhere an upward beam would spill onto a neighbour or into a room above.
Are globes included?
No. One GU10 globe, 6 W maximum, bought separately so you choose the colour and beam.
Can it go on an exposed wall?
Yes. It is IP54 — dust protected and shielded against splashing from any direction.
How big is it?

xWarranties
For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

- Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
