Product Description
xMaro takes a different approach to the up/down wall light: instead of one lens at each end it uses a column of small apertures — eight 1W LEDs across a 218 mm body — so the wall picks up a series of narrow beams rather than a single wash. On a textured surface such as render, stone or brick that reads as a pattern of light and shadow, which is the reason to choose it over a plain twin-beam fitting.
The choice to make: 240V or 12V
- 240V — wires straight to mains, no driver required.
- 12V — requires a 12V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240V.
Output is identical between them; only the wiring differs. Note that Maro is not dimmable in either version, so if a dimmed facade is part of the brief this is the wrong fitting.
Where it works
- Textured render, stone and brick — the multi-beam pattern needs a surface to fall on.
- Feature walls and entries where a plain wash would look flat.
- Sheltered outdoor walls — IP54, so eaves and porches rather than full exposure.
Specifying it
Tri-colour selectable — 3000K, 4000K or 5500K — in black or white powder-coated aluminium, 218 × 80 × 50 mm, CRI above 80. Because the effect depends on the beams grazing a surface, mount it close to the wall face rather than on a proud plinth. For the 12V version size the driver to the whole circuit, stay within 25 m of the driver and ±5% of nominal supply. Licensed electrician only.

Questions
Can Maro be dimmed?
No. Neither the 240V nor the 12V version is dimmable. If you need a dimmable up/down fitting, choose one specified as Triac dimmable instead.
Does the 12V version need a driver?
Yes, a 12V DC LED driver sized for the total load of the circuit. It must never be connected directly to 240V — that destroys the fitting and voids the warranty.
Why choose Maro over a normal up/down light?
For the pattern. Eight small beams across a textured wall create light-and-shadow detail that a single wide wash does not. On a flat painted wall the effect is much less pronounced, so it rewards a surface with texture.
Is it bright enough as the only light on a wall?
Maro is a decorative and accent fitting at roughly 220 lm per direction, not a floodlight. For task-level brightness at an entry, pair it with a higher-output fitting or a downlight over the door.
Does it take globes?
No. The LEDs are integrated and not replaceable, so there is nothing to buy separately.

Warranties, Return & Refund Policy
xWarranties
For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
