The Domus DEEP-13 is a 13 W deep-set tiltable LED downlight in black or white — COB with a reflector, CRI above 80, a 36° beam, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K and a Ø90 mm cutout.
⚠ A note on the name. This is listed as Deep-12 and rated 12 W in the title, but the model is DEEP-13 and every other source — the datasheet, the product record, and the item numbers in the sheet's own table — says 13 W. We have published the 13 W figures here and flagged the title for correction. If you are calculating a circuit load, use 13 W.
This is the whole point of the fitting and it is worth understanding before you compare it on price:
✅ So: use more of them, closer together. A 36° beam from a 2.4 m ceiling lands a pool roughly 1.5 m across — plan on about 1.2–1.5 m spacing for even coverage, not the 2 m you might use with a wide-beam fitting.
The head is adjustable, which with a 36° beam is what makes it genuinely useful:
Dimming: yes, with a suitable dimmer. It comes complete with its LED driver and a flex-and-plug, so the electrician is not sourcing a driver. ⚠ LED dimming compatibility is where problems live — tell us the dimmer you plan to use, or ask us for one matched to it, and get it right before installation rather than after.
The colour is set on a dip switch at the back of the fitting, so it is chosen before it goes into the ceiling. Decide first, and set every fitting in a room the same.
Cutout Ø90 mm, face Ø100 mm, height 94 mm. 13 W COB LED giving 987 / 1,053 / 1,120 lm at 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, set on a dip switch before installation; CRI >80, 36° beam, 50,000 hrs. Tiltable. Dimmable with a suitable dimmer; supplied with its LED driver and flex-and-plug. 220–240 V AC, IP40 — dust protected, no water rating. Warranty 3 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Thirteen. The title says Deep-12 and 12 W, but the model is DEEP-13 and the datasheet, the product record, the sheet’s own item table and its own description all say 13 W. We have published the 13 W figures and flagged the title. If you are calculating a circuit load, use 13 W.
The LED sits well back inside the housing behind a reflector, so from a normal standing or sitting position you cannot see the source — you see a lit surface rather than a bright dot. That is what kills the glare that makes cheap downlights uncomfortable in a room you actually sit in.
About 1.2 to 1.5 metres, not the 2 metres you might use with a wide-beam fitting. The trade-off for the deep-set housing is a narrow 36° beam, which from a 2.4 m ceiling lands a pool roughly 1.5 m across. Use more of them, closer together.
Aiming. A row set back from a wall and angled at it turns the wall into the light source and makes a room feel larger; a focused beam on art, joinery or a splashback shows it properly. Aim them at night before the ceiling is patched — tiltable downlights are routinely installed and never adjusted.
No. It is IP40 — dust protected with no water rating — so it is not for a shower, a wet area or an eave. Ask us about the AQUA range at IP65 for those.
Yes, with a suitable dimmer, and it comes complete with its LED driver and a flex-and-plug so your electrician is not sourcing one. LED dimming compatibility is where problems live, so tell us which dimmer you plan to use — or ask us for a matched one — and get it right before installation.
Before it goes into the ceiling. The selector is a dip switch on the back of the fitting. Decide first and set every fitting in a room the same.
