Product Description
xThe Mapel TL is a 420 mm LED table lamp with a solid black marble base and layered antique-brass shades — 6 W giving 195 lm at 3000 K, with touch dimming.
It dims by touch, from the lamp itself. No wall dimmer, no remote, no inline switch to find in the dark — touch it and adjust. On a bedside or a desk lamp that is the most useful dimming method there is, because the control is exactly where your hand already goes.
Solid marble, and it is the base of the lamp
Black marble, not a marble-look finish — real stone, which is heavy, cold to the touch and veined differently on every piece. At 1.6 kg on a base only 90 mm wide and 60 mm high, the weight is concentrated right at the bottom, which is what lets a 420 mm lamp stand on such a small footprint without being unstable.
Layered shades — the reason it looks the way it does
Rather than one shade, the Mapel uses overlapping layers in an antique-brass finish. Light escapes between the layers rather than through a single diffuser, so it emerges as bands and edges instead of an even glow. That is why the output is modest and why the lamp reads as atmospheric rather than functional.
⚠ 195 lumens is a small output. 6 W at 33 lm/W — the layered shades absorb most of it, which is the trade for the look. This is a mood lamp. It will glow beautifully on a sideboard or a bedside and it will not light a book. If you want to read beside it, plan a second light.
⚠ It is Class III — low voltage — so it needs a driver, and no source mentions one. The old page also said an electrician was required, which is wrong for a corded lamp — but do not assume it simply plugs in until we have checked. Ask us and we will confirm what ships in the box.
Antique brass on black
A gloss finish, warm metal against cold stone. The contrast is the design: the marble anchors and the brass catches light, and at 420 mm tall by 257 mm wide the proportions keep it compact enough for a bedside table or a narrow shelf.

Questions
How do I dim it?
By touching the lamp — no wall dimmer, no remote, no inline switch to find in the dark. On a bedside or desk lamp that is the most useful dimming method there is, because the control is where your hand already goes.

How long is the cable?
1,800 mm. Our datasheet field for it reads “Touch Dimming +180”, with two values collapsed into one cell — the cable is 1,800 mm and the touch dimmer is a feature, not a length.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
