The Justina is a 600 mm table lamp — an opal matt glass globe on a brushed brass rod above a black marble base — with an inline switch.

Three materials, each doing one thing

The lamp is a study in contrast, and each part earns its place. Black marble gives it weight and a cold, veined base. Brushed brass forms a single warm vertical line — brushed rather than polished, so it holds a soft sheen instead of a reflection. Opal matt glass sits on top and diffuses completely, hiding the globe and glowing evenly. Hard, warm, soft — in that order, bottom to top.

Mid-century geometry, done properly

The copy calls it “a play on geometry and organic shapes”, and that is accurate: a sphere balanced on a line above a mass. It is a form that only works if the proportions are right, and it is why the lamp reads as designed rather than assembled from parts.

The switch is on the cord

An inline switch, so you do not reach up to the glass or around the marble to find it. On a lamp whose shade is the visible element, keeping the switch off it is deliberate.

A 180 mm opal globe

Fully diffused — no visible globe, no hot spot, no glare. That makes it comfortable on a desk or a console you sit beside, where a clear or frosted shade would show the filament.

Plug in and use it

Class II, double insulated, no earth required. No electrician, no installation.

One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied

Behind opal glass a plain warm globe is all you need. Dimming depends on the globe you fit.
