The Domus PLEX-COB is a true dotless 24 V LED strip — 10 W per metre, 640 LEDs per metre, up to 1,000 lm per metre, CRI above 90, in a 50 metre roll. A 24 V driver is required and not included.

✅ “True dotless” — what 640 LEDs per metre actually buys

Ordinary LED strip has visible individual diodes. Behind a diffuser at a distance that is fine; close up, or in a shallow channel, you see a row of dots and a scalloped line of light.

• COB — chip on board — packs 640 LEDs into every metre under a continuous phosphor layer, so the emitting surface is a line, not a row of points.
• ✅ That means you can run it in a shallow channel, close to a surface, or with a clear diffuser and still see an unbroken line.
• ✅ It is what makes strip usable in handrails, shadow lines, joinery reveals and cove detail where a dotted line would ruin the effect.

Planning a run — the numbers that decide it

• 10 W per metre. Multiply by your run length, then add 20% for driver headroom. Ten metres = 100 W of load, so a 150 W driver.
• Cutting increment: 25 mm. You can only cut at the marked points, so a run lands on the nearest 25 mm — worth knowing when you are matching a joinery length exactly.
• Parallel wiring. Sections connect across the driver, not end to end.
• ✅ 24 V rather than 12 V is the reason to choose this: less resistive heat and longer possible runs before voltage drop dims the far end. On anything over a few metres that is the difference between an even line and a fading one.
• ⚠ Voltage drop still applies. Tell us the run length and we will tell you where to feed it — sometimes from both ends.

✅ CRI above 90 — and why it matters more on strip than anywhere

Strip lighting is almost always used on a surface you have chosen carefully — stone, timber veneer, tiled splashbacks, painted reveals. A CRI 80 strip washing a marble splashback makes the stone look flat and grey.

CRI above 90 is high for LED strip, and on a joinery or architectural detail it is the specification that makes the difference visible.

Choosing the colour, since it is permanent

• 3000 K — warm. Timber, brass, stone, hospitality, and anywhere it sits alongside warm decorative lighting.
• 4000 K — neutral. Kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and the safe default under a white or grey palette.
• 5000 K — cool. Task, retail display, clinical and workshop.

⚠ Order the whole job in one colour and ideally one batch — small variations between production batches are visible when two lengths meet.

Where it works

• Joinery reveals, shadow lines, handrails and cove detail — where dots would show.
• Kitchens and bathrooms — IP54 covers indoor wet areas.
• Over stone, timber and considered finishes — CRI 90+.
• ⛔ Indoor only. For outdoors, the IP67 version.
• ⛔ A 24 V driver is required and not supplied — 500 W for a full roll.

Specifying it

50 metre roll, 10 W per metre, 640 LEDs per metre COB, true dotless, giving 900 lm/m at 3000 K and 4000 K, 1,000 lm/m at 5000 K. CRI ≥90, 180° beam, 50,000 hrs. 24 V DC constant voltage — a driver is REQUIRED and NOT supplied; parallel wiring; cutting increment 25 mm. Dimmable via a suitable dimmable driver. Colour temperature is FIXED at purchase. IP54 — indoor use only, suitable for indoor wet areas. An IP67 silicon-coated version is available for outdoors. Warranty 3 years.
