Fino Round is the large 6 W member of the Fino family — a 160 mm disc that stands just 28 mm off the wall, throwing 195 lm at 3000K, 199 lm at 4000K and 198 lm at 5500K through an opal polycarbonate diffuser at 120°. At that size and output it does more than mark a step: one fitting will light a landing, which is the reason to choose it over the smaller 3 W square.

The choice to make: 160 mm is a design element

A 160 mm illuminated disc is not a discreet fitting — it is visible by day and reads as a deliberate circle by night. Space them generously; the spacing that suits a small 105 mm marker will look crowded with these. If the wall is narrow, or you want the light without the object, the square 3 W Fino is the more restrained choice.

Where it works
  • External landings and wide stair flights where one fitting per landing is enough.
  • Rendered feature and courtyard walls, where the lit disc is part of the composition.
  • Alfresco and pool-house walls under cover, the 120° spread washing the paving.
  • Commercial entries and hotel forecourts where IK08 impact resistance is needed at knee height in a public area.
Specifying it

Surface-mounted, so there is no cutout and no canister — it fixes to the wall face. Rated IP54: splashing and wind-driven damp are within rating, but a position taking direct driving rain or standing water needs a higher-rated fitting. Tri-colour selectable at install; pick one temperature and apply it to every fitting on that wall.

Fino Round is 12 V DC and requires a 12 V DC LED driver; it must never be connected directly to 240 V. Keep each fitting within 25 m of its driver and size the driver for the total circuit load — at 6 W each these draw twice what the small square does, so a driver sized for the square version will not carry the same count of these. The LED is built in: no globe needed or possible. Not dimmable. Installation by a licensed electrician.

Supplied by Lights For You — at 6 W per fitting the driver sizing matters more here than on the smaller Finos, so give us your fitting count and we will check the transformer has headroom.

Questions
How is this different from the square Fino?

Size and output. This is a 160 mm round fitting at 6 W giving around 195–199 lm; the square is 105 mm at 3 W giving around 30–33 lm. This one lights a landing; the square marks a step.

Does it need a driver?

Yes, a 12 V DC LED driver. At 6 W per fitting, size it for the whole circuit with headroom. It must never be connected directly to 240 V.

Can it go in an exposed position?

IP54 handles splashing and damp in a sheltered spot. For a wall in the open taking driving rain, choose an IP65 or IP67 fitting instead.

Do I need to recess it into the wall?

No. It is surface-mounted and only 28 mm deep, so it fixes to the wall face with a cable penetration behind — no coring and no canister.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. It is built in and sealed, so there is no globe to buy and nothing to service. The whole fitting is replaced at end of life.

What is the maximum distance from the driver?

25 m. That is a warranty condition, and at 6 W the voltage drop over a long thin cable run is more noticeable than on a low-wattage fitting.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
