HV3106T-WHT-240V | HV3106T-WHT-12V - Paso White Recessed LED Step Light

Paso is a tall, narrow recessed step light in white — the cut-out is 33 mm wide by 152 mm high, so it reads as a slim vertical slot in the wall rather than a round or square marker. That proportion is the reason to choose it: on a stairwell wall or a hotel-style corridor it looks architectural, and a run of them lines up as a rhythm of verticals. At IP20 it is an indoor fitting, and this listing sells it in two voltages.

The choice to make: 240 V or 12 V

• HV3106T-WHT-240V — supplied with its own dedicated LED driver, so nothing extra needs specifying on the mains side. Class II, no earth required at the fitting.
• HV3106T-WHT-12V — requires a 12 V DC LED driver, which you supply, sized for the total load of the circuit. A canister is available for the 12 V models.

Both versions give the same light: 45 lm at 3000K, 55 lm at 4000K and 49 lm at 5500K from a 3 W built-in LED, tri-colour selectable at install.

• Internal stairwells — the vertical slot suits the geometry of a flight better than a round fitting.
• Hallways and corridors in apartments, townhouses and hotels, as low-level night lighting.
• Home theatre and media rooms, where dimmable low-level light is the whole requirement.

Specifying it

IP20 means no protection against water — Paso is for interior walls only, not a porch, a bathroom wet zone or anywhere exposed. The cut-out is 33 mm wide by 152 mm high, which is a tall slot: check the stud and nogging positions before setting out, because a vertical opening that size has to miss the framing cleanly. Dimmable, and on the 12 V version that means the driver must itself be a dimmable type. Lamp expectancy is rated above 30,000 hours. The LED is built in: no globe is needed and none can be fitted. Powder-coated white aluminium, IK08. Licensed electrician only.
