HV3106T-BLK-240V | HV3106T-BLK-12V - Paso Black Recessed LED Step Light

Paso in black is the same slim vertical recessed step light as the white version — a 33 mm × 152 mm slot in the wall — with the black face doing something different visually: against a dark or timber-lined stairwell the trim vanishes and only the light shows. This listing has an extra option worth understanding before you order, because one of the three is not a light fitting at all.

The choice to make: which option

• HV3106T-BLK-240V — the mains version, supplied with its own dedicated LED driver. Class II, no earth required at the fitting.
• HV3106T-BLK-12V — requires a 12 V DC LED driver, supplied by you and sized for the whole circuit.
• HV3106-CAN — the canister accessory for the 12 V models, not a light. It is what you add for a clean recess in masonry or render; order one per fitting where you need it.

Both light versions give 45 lm at 3000K, 55 lm at 4000K and 49 lm at 5500K from a 3 W built-in LED, tri-colour selectable at install.

• Dark or timber-lined stairwells — the black trim disappears into the wall.
• Corridors and hallways as low-level night circulation lighting.
• Media rooms and home theatres, where the light needs to be dimmable and minimal.
• Hospitality and apartment circulation where a repeated vertical detail is part of the design.

Specifying it

IP20 — no water protection, so this is an interior fitting only. Not a porch, not a wet area, not an exposed wall. The 33 × 152 mm opening is a tall slot, so set it out against studs and noggings before cutting. Dimmable, and on the 12 V version the driver must itself be a dimmable type. Rated above 30,000 hours, IK08, powder-coated black aluminium. The LED is built in: there is no globe to buy and none can be fitted. Licensed electrician only.
