Stainless Steel Double Adjustable Wall Light TRI Colour

The Fortis double is a two-headed adjustable wall light in high grade 304 stainless steel — two GU10 lamps on one backing plate, each on 90° of tilt and 270° of swivel. It is the workhorse shape of exterior wall lighting: mount it once, aim one head up the wall and the other down, and a single wiring point does the job of two fittings. The 304 stainless gives it a harder-wearing face than a powder-coated body, which is what makes it a common specification on rendered and brick facades that catch weather without being fully exposed.

The choice to make

One part number, HV1372T, so there is no variant to get wrong. The decisions are all made at install. Each head aims independently, so the fitting can throw a symmetric up-and-down scallop, or two beams across a driveway, or both heads down onto a path — worth agreeing with the electrician before the backing plate goes on, because re-aiming later means getting a ladder out.

Colour temperature is set on the globes, and the output is stated per lamp: 2 × 270 lm at 3000K, 2 × 285 lm at 4000K and 2 × 300 lm at 5500K. Each head produces that figure — the datasheet writes it as 2 × and so do we, rather than adding the heads together into a number that no single lamp actually produces.

Where it works

• Either side of a garage door, under the eave, throwing light up and down.
• Along a rendered boundary wall, spaced to overlap the scallops.
• Entry facades where two aiming directions are wanted from one point.
• Sheltered coastal positions, where the 304 stainless earns its place.

Specifying it

This is a 240 V AC fitting and wires straight to mains — no driver or transformer. It carries two replaceable GU10 globes, supplied with the fitting, and it is not dimmable with those globes, so no dimmer belongs on the circuit. If you later replace them, order GU10 and stay under the wattage marked on the fitting's own label; an MR16 or G9 lamp will not physically fit the socket.

The rating is the specification to respect: IP54 covers splashing water, not driving rain. Mount the Fortis double under an eave, a soffit or a balcony rather than on a fully exposed wall, and on a coastal site wash the stainless down regularly — Havit excludes tea staining from the warranty.
