Matt black is what most people picture now when they imagine an exterior wall light, and this is the fixed-down Tivah in it: textured black powder coat over aluminium, on a matching backing plate, pointing straight at the ground with no tilt and no swivel to set.
Against dark brick, charcoal render or a timber-clad wall the fitting disappears; against pale render it reads as a deliberate punctuation mark down the elevation. Either can be the right answer, but it is worth choosing on purpose rather than by default, because it is the daytime appearance you will look at far more often than the night-time one.
Those angles belong to the globes supplied, not to the housing, so refitting a different GU10 changes the spread. On a fixed-down fitting the choice matters more than it does on an adjustable one: 60° drops a tight bright disc directly beneath, while 120° spreads a softer wash that overlaps between fittings. For a path people walk on, the wider one is usually right; for defined pools down a feature wall, take the narrower.
Both GU10 versions wire straight to mains as earthed Class 1 fittings. The MR16 version is 12 V DC: it needs an LED driver within 25 m, with the supply held inside 5% of nominal, or the warranty is void. Replaceable globes to a ceiling of 35 W on a 240 V GU10 and 20 W on a 12 V MR16. Colour temperature is switched on the globe at install, so a single part number covers warm, neutral and cool. IP65 means an exposed wall needs no eave. The one restriction to check first: the body is powder-coated aluminium, and Havit excludes installation within 2 km of salt water — coastal jobs want the solid brass, solid copper or 316 stainless version of the same fitting. All three carry a 3-year replacement warranty. Ask Lights For You if you want the black adjustable Tivah quoted beside this one; they share a backing plate, so mixing them along a facade still looks intentional.
HV1125T, the version with the switchable 9-in-1 globe. HV1127GU10T and HV1127MR16T are 120°. The angle comes from the globe rather than the housing.
No. This is the fixed-down version. The single adjustable Tivah is the same fitting with 90° tilt and 270° swivel.
HV1125T, on a Triac dimmer. HV1127GU10T and HV1127MR16T are not dimmable with the globes supplied.
Not this finish. It is powder-coated aluminium and Havit excludes sites within 2 km of salt water. Order the solid brass, solid copper or 316 stainless Tivah instead.
A 12 V DC LED driver, no more than 25 m from the fitting, with the supply within 5% of nominal.
35 W on the 240 V GU10 versions and 20 W on the 12 V MR16.
It is a textured poly powder coat, which holds up far better than a gloss finish outdoors. Wash it down occasionally, and keep it away from salt air as Havit specifies.
