This is the up/down Tivah in solid brass with an antique finish: one fitting, two heads, one washing the wall upward and one down, on a matching brass backing plate with a high-output reflector behind each lamp. The up/down form is the reason to choose it — a single wiring point produces the symmetrical hourglass of light that most people picture when they imagine a wall light on a pillar, and it does it without two fittings and two cable runs.
Three part numbers, and the difference is electrical rather than cosmetic:
Read those figures as per head. The datasheet writes them as 2 × because each of the two lamps produces that output, and comparing a 2 × 300 lm fitting against a single-head 300 lm fitting on the raw number would flatter the wrong one.
The fitting is IP65, so weather exposure is within its rating, and the body is solid brass rather than a coated alloy — it develops a patina outdoors instead of chalking, which is why it is the version chosen near salt air. Regular washing down is still required; Havit excludes tea staining from the warranty.
Both GU10 versions run on 240 V AC and wire straight to mains. The MR16 version is a low-voltage fitting: it takes a suitable 12 V DC LED driver, and because it carries two lamps the load on that driver is double a single-head fitting's — size it for the total and wire multiple fittings in parallel. It cannot sit more than 25 m from its driver, and the supply must stay within 5% of nominal, or the warranty is void. None of the three is dimmable with the globes supplied. Globes are replaceable, with the socket ceiling differing by version — 35 W on a 240 V GU10, 20 W on a 12 V MR16, and that is per lamp rather than per fitting. Every Tivah we stock carries a 3-year replacement warranty, and Lights For You can size a driver for an MR16 run if you tell us how many fittings share it.
One head. The datasheet states 2 × 270 lm, 2 × 285 lm and 2 × 300 lm, meaning each of the two lamps produces that output. We quote it the same way rather than adding them together.
HV1095T for 240 V with switchable 3/5/7 W globes, HV1097GU10T for 240 V at a fixed 5 W per head, or HV1097MR16T if you are running a 12 V DC supply.
Only HV1097MR16T, which is 12 V DC and requires a 12 V DC LED driver sized for two lamps per fitting. Both GU10 versions wire straight to mains.
No — not with the globes supplied, on any of the three versions.
35 W on a 240 V GU10 and 20 W on a 12 V MR16, per lamp. A two-head fitting takes two globes at or under that figure — not one globe of twice it.
Yes. It is IP65, so an exposed wall or pillar is within its rating.
A maximum of 25 m, with the supply within 5% of nominal. Outside either limit Havit voids the warranty.
Wash it down regularly, especially near the coast. The brass is solid rather than coated so it patinas rather than fails, but tea staining is excluded from the warranty.
