Tivah Up/Down Wall Pillar Light TRI Colour

The solid copper Tivah is the same up/down fitting as the rest of the family in a material that behaves differently over time. Copper does not hold the colour it arrives in: it darkens through browns to a deep patina outdoors, and near the coast it will eventually verdigris. That is the reason to specify it — it is chosen by people who want the fitting to age visibly rather than stay the colour of the photograph.

The choice to make

Finish is fixed; the decision is which of three part numbers suits the supply at the wall:

• HV1015T — 240 V GU10, supplied with switchable globes stepping through 3 W, 5 W and 7 W per head.
• HV1017GU10T — 240 V GU10 fixed at 5 W per head: 2 × 270 lm at 3000K, 2 × 285 lm at 4000K, 2 × 300 lm at 5500K.
• HV1017MR16T — 12 V DC MR16 at 5 W per head, same output, requiring a 12 V DC LED driver.

Those lumen figures are per head, which is how the datasheet prints them. Each of the two lamps produces the stated output; the fitting throws it in two directions rather than concentrating it in one.

Where it works

• Pillars and gate posts on a property where the fittings are meant to weather in.
• Rendered or stone facades, where copper reads warm against a cool surface.
• Exposed positions — IP65 means no eave is required.
• Alongside copper or brass hardware elsewhere on the elevation.

Specifying it

It is a surface-mounted fitting on a matching backing plate, rated IP65. The two 240 V versions wire straight to mains. The MR16 version is low voltage and must be run from a suitable 12 V DC LED driver, never connected to mains, sized for two lamps per fitting and wired in parallel where several share one driver. Havit voids the warranty if a low-voltage fitting sits more than 25 m from its driver or the supply drifts beyond 5% of nominal.

None of the three dims with the globes supplied. The globes are replaceable and the ceilings differ — 35 W on the 240 V GU10, 20 W on the 12 V MR16, per lamp. One thing worth setting expectations on before purchase: the copper will not stay bright. If an even, unchanging finish matters more than the material, the aluminium or stainless Tivah is the better choice, and we stock both. A 3-year replacement warranty applies either way.
