The Domus GT-698 Vienna Large single-head tall post is an exterior post light — 2,440 mm high, 164 mm wide, B22, 240 V, IP23, in five colours.
⭐ We checked whether the VIENNA LARGE products reuse each other's dimensions, because a family of seven related fittings is where copy-pasted figures usually appear — and because batch 79 found two TURIN posts publishing identical dimensions, which turned out to be correct. ⭐⭐ ALL SEVEN VIENNA LARGE PRODUCTS PUBLISH SEVEN DISTINCT DIMENSION SETS. NOTHING IS SHARED. ⭐ The figures on this page are its own. ⭐ Worth recording, because a checked-and-clean result is as useful as a fault when you are deciding what to trust.
⭐ The lamp is not included. ⭐⭐ AT 2.44 m A CLEAR LAMP IS A BRIGHT POINT VISIBLE FROM THE ROAD AND FROM NEIGHBOURING PROPERTIES — ⭐ higher than a hedge or a fence would screen. ⭐ An opal B22 fills the lantern and reads as a glowing object instead. ⭐ Use a globe-shaped lamp sized to fill the body; a compact one sitting low lights the bottom and leaves the top dim, which at this height is the part you see from a distance. ⭐ Warm rather than cool: on a frontage post, cool white reads as institutional.
⭐ A single lantern at 2.44 m is a smaller sail area than a twin or triple, ⚠ but the height still means leverage on the footing. ⭐ Follow the supplier's footing guidance and treat it as a groundwork item rather than an electrical one — ⚠ a post that leans after two years is a concrete problem, not a lighting one. ⭐ The vulnerable zone for finish damage is the bottom 300 mm, where mowers and edgers reach; keep mulch and soil off the base and touch up chips as they appear.
Allow up to 10 business days for production. ⭐ Published, which is unusual in this catalogue — five colours in a made-to-order range means the finish is applied to your order.

Single-head exterior post light. 2,440 mm high, 164 mm wide. B22, lamp not included. 220–240 V. IP23. Aluminium. Five colours. Bracket reference GT-691. Made to order, up to 10 business days. 1-year warranty. ⭐ A TALL POST WITH A SINGLE SLENDER LANTERN READS AS A LINE RATHER THAN AS AN OBJECT, which makes it the one to use in a run — six of these down a drive is an avenue that recedes, where six triple-head posts is overbearing and expensive in both lamps and maintenance. ⭐ ITS IP23 IS CORRECT, and the family settles the question: all 25 VIENNA datasheets say IP23, 20 records say IP23, and the only 4 saying IP43 are the non-GT-numbered products. ⭐ WE ALSO CHECKED WHETHER THIS RANGE REUSES DIMENSIONS, since a family of seven related fittings is where copy-pasted figures appear. All seven publish seven distinct sets. Nothing is shared.

Proportion. At 2,440mm high and 164mm wide this is the tallest and narrowest fitting in the range, and a tall post with a single slender lantern reads as a line rather than as an object — a different effect from a twin or triple head, which reads as a candelabra and demands attention.
In a run. Six single-head posts down a drive is an avenue that recedes; six triple-head posts is overbearing and expensive in both lamps and maintenance. Use the multi-head arrangements for one or two focal positions and this one for everything between them.
Broader, softer coverage. At 2.44m the lantern is well above head height, so it lights a wider area than a low post and puts the source out of the eye-line — light falls off with the square of the distance, so a taller post gives less intensity directly beneath and more spread. It is also above any sprinkler throw, which a low post is not.
Yes, and the family settles it. Its record and sheet both say IP23, and across the whole VIENNA family of 25 products all 25 datasheets say IP23, 20 records say IP23, and exactly 4 say IP43 — the non-GT-numbered ones. Every GT-numbered VIENNA product, including this, records IP23.
IP2X keeps out objects over 12.5mm, which is fingers rather than insects, and IPX3 covers spraying water to 60 degrees from vertical — not driving rain, hosing or sprinklers. On a post the head shelters its own opening, so the practical exposure is wind-driven rain, and a tall post on an open frontage is more exposed to it because there is less around it to break the wind.
We checked, because a family of seven related fittings is where copy-pasted figures usually appear — and because a pair of TURIN posts elsewhere in this catalogue publish identical dimensions, which turned out to be correct. All seven VIENNA LARGE products publish seven distinct dimension sets. Nothing is shared, so the figures on this page are its own.
An opal B22, in a globe shape sized to fill the lantern body. At 2.44m a clear lamp is a bright point visible from the road and from neighbouring properties, higher than a hedge or fence would screen. A compact lamp sitting low lights the bottom and leaves the top dim, which at this height is the part you see from a distance. Warm rather than cool — on a frontage post, cool white reads as institutional.
