Tivah LED Garden Spike Light CCT 5w

Tivah in antique brass is a solid brass garden spike spotlight with an antique finish — 90° of tilt, 270° of swivel, and a 285 mm spike. The body is solid brass, so there is no coating to chip or blister, and the finish keeps changing outdoors: it darkens and mottles with exposure. That is why it suits heritage entries and brass-detailed exteriors — and why to think twice if you want a fitting that stays looking as it arrived.

The globe: MR16, and it is replaceable

Tivah takes an MR16 globe, supplied as a 5 W tri-colour LED. At end of lamp life you change the globe rather than dig out the fitting — on a solid brass body that will outlast several lamps, that matters. Only an MR16 base will fit; a GU10, MR11 or G4 globe will not. Havit specifies the fitting as not dimmable with the supplied globes, so do not plan a dimmed circuit around it.

The decision that matters: this is a 12 V fitting

Tivah requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V, which destroys it instantly and is not a warranty claim. Keep each fitting within 25 m of its driver: beyond that Havit's warranty does not apply, and voltage drop over a long thin run reads as the far lights going dim. A 2000 mm reinforced tail is supplied.

Specifying it

Tri-colour selectable at install, and the product's own table gives 270 lm at 3000K, 285 lm at 4000K and 300 lm at 5500K from the 5 W MR16 globe at a 90° beam. On brass and warm brickwork 3000K is usually the right call; commit to one temperature across the garden either way. Clear glass lens, which holds its clarity under UV where polycarbonate yellows. IP65 for direct rain and hose-down, IK08 impact rating, and class III low voltage so no earth is required. Expect the brass to darken with exposure — the finish working as intended, not a defect.
